Re: Any way to strip Dolby Vision and just mux HDR10?
im sure it's not the TV that handles DV poorly, it's that dune does not decode DV correctly. just turn off DV in the dune player settings and the file will play back as HDR10/10+. or get yourself a Ugoos AM6B+ and install CoreELEC 21 and get real DV decoding +1 BUT... there on some unique situation...

Re: [FEATURE REQUEST] Ability to set ALL Matroska flags
+1
I have been setting MKV flags using MKVToolNix's header editor for a long time now.
If MakeMKV could add these flags then I that would greatly simplify my workflow.
I have players that respect flags like "Hearing Impaired" for SDH subs, etc.

Re: Subtitle->Text English (Lossy Conversion)
Going to be ripping a bunch of DVDs and noticed that MakeMKV is still using CCExtractor to make lossy SRT subs instead of lossless SSA subs. Has anyone found a fix for this yet or is this in the works at all? EDIT: My old method of getting the CC608 subs out as SSA using Handbrake no longer works we...

Re: How do you all watch the MKV remuxes over your home network?
Vero 4K+ is what I use.
It can handle 99% of everything I throw at it.
No DV output, but that's still pretty normal for MKV players for now.

Re: Subtitle->Text English (Lossy Conversion)
I use MakeMKV to get a DVDRemux of the episode (mpeg2, ac3, VOB). Then I rip the same episode with HandBrake using x264 on UltraFast making sure to get the CC608 in the subtitle menu. I use UltraFast because I don't care about the quality, I just need it to give me a file as fast as possible that I ...

Only convert LPCM to FLAC
Some discs have multiple audio track that I want to select where the main track might be DTS/Dolby and a secondary track might be LPCM. I want to copy the DTS/Dolby track but convert the LPCM to FLAC. I've seen posts on here saying to edit the existing FLAC profile or create a new profile but I can'...

Re: X-MEN Dark Phoenix 4k
The only difference is the intro. 00800.mpls (00003.m2ts + 00006.m2ts + 00062.m2ts) will give you the original USA marketed title of just "Dark Phoenix". 00801.mpls or 00802.mpls (00003.m2ts + 00061.m2ts + 00062.m2ts) will give you "X-MEN: Dark Phoenix" which was the marketed tit...

Re: Subtitle->Text English (Lossy Conversion)
It converts it to SRT and thus loses the data that determines where it is positioned on the screen. It would need to be losslessly converted to substation alpha to keep the positioning. Programs like Handbrake can do this but obviously with Handbrake you are forces to transcode the video. Hopefully ...

Re: Subtitle->Text English (Lossy Conversion)
I ran into the same situation when ripping my Seinfeld DVDs. Is there a way for MakeMKV to keep (lossless) the substation alpha without converting it to SRT? I prefer the SSA text to the VOB subs and the conversion to SRT losses screen placement. For example, in the beginning of episodes when there ...
