Re: Splitting MKV Files
Right the DVD held 35 cartoon, when I ran that thought make MKV it identified 7 titles and created 7 MKVs. EAch of those MKVs however contained 5 chapter, each relating to a single episode... Which DVD is this? That sounds like a bizarre way of organizing the content. In the end I used mkvmerge to ...

Re: Including pictures or synopsis in a mkv
Are you asking if this is possible with the mkv-format, or are you asking for it as a feature in makemkv? mkv-files can have attachments of any kind. However, for these attachments to be useful, you have to establish a convention that's supported among players. At the moment, there is only one conve...

Re: @mike admin Addition to methods of Full Disc Blu-ray bac
The methodology you described is used for making .MKVs of individual files, not backup/duplicate copies of FULL Blu-ray discs ... Ah. Right. I thought it would be strange if you didn't know about this feature. Still confused, though :) If you have all the files, all decrypted, in a folder. Why woul...

Re: @mike admin Addition to methods of Full Disc Blu-ray bac
@mike admin My question was, why would you need to decrypt blu-ray files - your question assumes that somehow you've ended up with encrypted blu-ray filles on a hard drive No, actually I'm referring to ALREADY-DECRYPTED Full Disc backups I've made from my original, commercial Blu-ray discs that I h...

Re: Problematic HD-DVDs
Has anyone successfully copied Pan's Labyrinth ??? Have tried 3 discs and all fail...is it because of the 7.1 DTS ??? AnyDVDHD will rip the disc with no problems, Clown BD rips with no problems...so why not Makemkv ??? No, I don't think it's got anything to do with the soundtrack. I think the playl...

Re: Problematic HD-DVDs
If you've managed to rip with ClownBD why do you need to use MakeMKV? You know, I actually find this remark offensive. This is the MakeMKV beta forum. Its purpose is to identify flaws in MakeMKV, in order to improve the program. When somebody reports a valid problem, you don't tell them to sod off ...

Re: Cost of MakeMKV
@trondmm - I'm not sure why you are debating this with me, when I am agreeing with you! It would be obvious, in that if I purchase something that is offered in the US for purchase in USD that I would purchase it in USD. If I purchase something in England, I purchase it in Pounds, if I purchase some...

Re: Lots of duplicate tracks on new Blu-rays
Lots of seemingly duplicate tracks are sometimes alternate video streams were CGI is used to edit text on screen for foreign languages so for example a sign in the video appears in english, german, spanish etc. That's not quite the issue here. That would result in multiple similar, but slightly dif...

Re: Cost of MakeMKV
This seems to be interminable. Well, the root cause of the problem is that the price is a secret. It would IMO be a lot better if the actual price was listed on the front page of makemkv.com I'd remind you that this is a forum solely for BETA TESTING MakeMKV, not for discussing pricing or marketing...

Re: Cost of MakeMKV
But as is clearly displayed in the picture, the price in EUR countries is 50 EURs. 50 USD is about 37 EURs, and 50 EURs is about $67 USD. No, it's not "EUR countries". It's not even EU countries or European countries. It's everyone that's not USA. Allow me to illustrate: Here are the Euro...

Re: Cost of MakeMKV
Only for American users. Wrong again. The price is $50 USD. For anyone. Now you have completely lost me. In what way does MakeMKV cost $50 for me? What can I do to buy MakeMKV for $50? (without actually moving to the US?) Now, if you pay in Euros, the price may be XX Euros. But the price is still $...

Re: Lots of duplicate tracks on new Blu-rays
1) Have you performed the more basic testing of actually demuxing the suspect streams and playing them? What do you mean? Have I listened to the extra streams? Yes. Both before and after demuxing. They are the same. 2) Does the presence of these apparently "extra" streams impact playback ...
