Re: Requiem for a Dream UHD - Errors
First UHD disc I've seen with an enormous amount of multiple titles (216 for the 4K titles). Non-4K titles write fine, the rest give the same errors below. Tried this disc on 4 different drives (2 WH16NS60s and 2 WH16NS40s: all on MK 1.03) Will probably chalk this up to a bad disc... Error 'Scsi er...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
You can re-encode the lossless audio stream into eac3, then you can go up to 1500kps and possibly higher.

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1
With the APK from yuse, I can play the DV mkvs on the shield and works like a charm. Hopefully exoplayer will be updated any time soon, so that Emby or other apps can use the DV version. Sorry if I'm misreading, but it's hard to keep up with this. Are you saying profile 7 dv directly ripped with Ma...

So it looks like the Minix NEO U22-XJ supports profile 7 and high frame rate DV

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Forgive me if this has already been mentioned, but if profile 5 is single layer, then wouldn't it work in MKV format without any modifications? As far as I have read the only thing preventing DV in MKV is the lack of handling multiple layers. MKV is a lot for convenient for use over TS.

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
The NEO U22-XJ is now officially out. Anyone gonna pick one up and test it's DV functionality? http://shop.minix.us/neo-u22-xj Patiently waiting to see what this supports also, but I'm not expecting anything above what we have now with the shield. Although if this can produce accurate DV color as a...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
You should try using TSMuxer and just throw the original video file in it and remux to a .ts using this build of TSMuxer: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Gq5TAcCtkyDUJtiaEpiii9B1io4OwHW9 I have a C9, and .ts files do not work (at least with the internal emby app) Try the built in player that LG m...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Well what machine are you playing your videos on? LG Oled C9 via external hdd. One question though: Gemini man dolby vision does not play at the correct 60 fps using the original method (remux two HEVCs layers into an MP4 container using mp4muxer). Will it play correctly using the new method (remux...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
At this point, what is the best way to prepare DV movie for LG B8? What I currently try to do: Rip 4K Blu-ray Disc as a file folder Open biggest .m2ts file from STREAM folder with usual latest tsMuxer, extract two .hevc files from it — one at ~60 gig, other is at ~6 gig Use Dolby's mp4muxer to crea...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I'm keeping my eye on this device: https://theminixforum.com/index.php?threads/minix-neo-u22-xj-official-release-date-monday-30th-march-2020.2404/ hoping it will be the first to do dual-layer as it's been requested to the devs for months during production, and they've already said the full dolby li...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
So what's the current preferred player for DV? I'm currently using the emby app on my C9, which works pretty well but the ethernet port is only 100mbs and there's no way to use lossless audio. The X700 still only has 100mbs LAN, and I'd rather use some kind of native app instead of messing around wi...

No LG TVs support TrueHD, and it seems like the TV itself downsamples DTS-HD to DTSMastaG wrote: ↑Wed Aug 14, 2019 4:29 pmI reported the issue where plex for lg webos transcodes the hd-audio stream on their forums.

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
yusesope can manipulate them further to push lpcm 7.1 (and dts-hd perhaps?), but atmos seems like a no go. Sad but true. The problem is represented by the mp4 container: until its specs are reviewed or until Dolby reveals the algorithm needed for muxing BL, EL, RPU, it will be difficult to play a D...
