Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Is there a way to send him a pm? The Issues tab on github seems kinda dead so not sure if posting there will get his attention.

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Yeah so same as mine.
Does this mean the hdmi diagnostics of the tv is incorrect or the ugoos can only output 8 bit at 422?
Should I keep it on auto or 422 then?

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
@RESET9999 Should I set "Force colour subsampling" to 4:2:2 on the Ugoos instead of Auto? If I do so and check the HDMI diagnostics screen on my tv (lg c9), then it says 422 8 bit instead of 12 bit. Even if I try to set "Force display colour depth" to 12 bit it still says 8 bit. ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I just found out the ugoos am6b+ is no longer sold anywhere in my country. Now I dread the day mine dies.
Still no other devices that are capable of the same things as this box?

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
If I only choose the 4k options then the 1080p display mode wont be allowed to be used? If you want 1080p content to be upscaled by the TV, you must set the Kodi GUI to 1080p. The whitelist does not override this behavior; it only informs the player which display modes your TV supports. What happen...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
What exactly does that whitelist setting do? what it does is written in the image you posted I read that but don't know what that means. If I only choose the 4k options then the 1080p display mode wont be allowed to be used? the link you posted does not mention what should be set for this option: y...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Will it affect 1080p contents? no Also, what should I set for the Audio Output Device if I have a receiver? https://justpaste.it/divn9 What exactly does that whitelist setting do? I did not select any of the options in there and didn't notice anything unusual. As for the second question, the link y...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
@RESET9999 Under the Whitelist setting, I see you select all the 4k option. What does that mean? Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
In the Ugoos DV settings. I still prefer generating DV but overall it works very well, similar to real DV or madVR DTM. It doesn’t alter the image when the content is within the TV’s capabilities. No black crush has well. see: https://youtu.be/2N6uBDmSwec Cool. I heard we could do the same for gami...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
yes disable noise reduction. The rest looks good. You can also force DV for HDR10 to avoid the posterization and banding problems on LG TVs. see these test files: https://drive.google.com/drive/u/1/folders/1DxMiJvf_HHTqxw5AW4WdbrKkCkKrH3JG How do you force it? Using the g5 settings or ugoos setting...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
How does the latest firmware mess up the DV black level? I read forums posts and thought only hdr10 still had problems. There's a glow, and when you use the new near black option to fix it, it crushes black but the avsforum is full of moron who use the vivid mode so it's hard to follow. On the old ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
@RESET9999 How do you like the G5 so far with the latest firmware update, compared to the C2 you own? I'm still on the old firmware, before they messed up the DV black levels, so everything looks fine on my end. I actually prefer it a lot over the C2, mainly for the better colors, but also for how ...
