I can tell you with 100% confidence I have had drive both pioneer and LG/Asus that would not see UHD disc then cleaning the laser fixed it but actual cleaning not one of those discs with brushes. I have exactly same problem with this Asus BW-16S1HT drive with probably unpatched orginal firmware 3.02 (this what I see information in MakeMKV) I tried backup Mad Max Fury Road UHD disc and in half disc it stop and MakeMKV can't rip it. I'm using ASUS BW-16D1HT downgraded to 3.02, ripping UHD's work perfect, but this sleep bug :?
Anything changed with this ? any hope for elminate this in future ?

Understand, so on normal Blu-ray discs this should not happen I guess ? Offical for example LG WH16NS60 but on orginal stock firmware it will not rip UHD discs, after crossflash to be "UHD Friendly" does it will be still supported as "Official" for playing UHD BD discs via PowerD...

I ripped Planet Earth II without any problems :D, thank you MartyMcNuts for your flasher. But what I noticed, I left disc in drive for longer time, and after that drive give weird sounds from it. SamuriHL - thank you!, drive work fine, I already record BD-RE DL fine, I also rip regular BD movie with MakeMKV everything seems work, tommorow I will receive my first UHD BD movie Planet Earth II and I will try to rip it on HDD, can't wait :)

@MartyMcNuts - Does it secure to use modifier flasher to downgrade without doing dump backup current firmware ?

Does your included firmware for Asus ver 3.02 different from orginal "clean" one ?
