Re: Help with debug log
Thanks Mike That has solved the mystery a little... The second machine only has BDMV\STREAM present , no other anciliary directories. So my question is, what needs to be present for makmkv to find it 'valid' . I was pretty sure before in testing that it only need that folder to run. I can't use the ...

Re: Help with debug log
I understand the risks, my success rate is high, I accept that there can be issues from time to time with anydvd/makemkv. I am simply looking for an explanation of this debug log, nothing more. I know the disc will work with a direct makemkv pass without anydvd. What I am asking here is very specifi...

Re: Help with debug log
Thanks...but....., That I cannot do. My workflow requires that I rip in bulk to HDD with anydvd. This is an automated process. I then use makemkv to, well, make mkv files from my rips. And per previous post I use two machines with the same version of makemkv and the same rip. One works and one fails...

Re: Fatal Error on one machine
This has solved the problem for me totally.
Tested all Ui options and tested rips, all work 100%.
Thanks for great support, a rapid fix and a great product.
FYI - Vista 32bit here.

Re: volume key is unknown
These are discs ripped to files and folders i.e. BDMV\STREAM
Althought interested at your post - are there issues with anydvd generated ISO's?
All are US discs. I'll grab a list of titles and post.

Re: Transformers 2 Revenge of the fallen
Thanks all.
It may be region differences (I am UK) but both titles are AVC encodes according to mediainfo.
A little further digging and it seems that some players including my popcorn is struggling with this decode.
So the good news is it has nothing at all to do with makemkv....

Transformers 2 Revenge of the fallen
All I have a BD original of this and ran it through makeMKV today. It appeared to rip just fine, no errors at all and created the target MKV file. But nothing at all will play this back. VLC,ffd, popcorn hour etc. VLC gives me black screen with audio. Popcorn hour refuses to play. I have ripped many...
