Re: “Fatal Error Occured” with MacOS 15.4 Developer Beta 1
Hadn't used MakeMKV for quite some time and tried at the worst moment, just after updating all my Mac to macOS 15.4! :-) Also, MakeMKV can rip discs in a Windows VM (I fully tested Parallels Desktop and started a rip with UTM) on an Apple Silicon Mac, so for those with Windows VM, that's a (hopeful...

Re: Official Dolby Vision MKV spec support
Just to say that I was able to play a MakeMKV 1.16.3 generated file on my M9702 in Dolby Vision. Had to remux it to a .ts with tsMuxeR first, which produces a 3% bigger file. But it's way more convenient than using a full rip (no stupid menus, easier to add subtitles etc.), and it still plays with I...

Re: Ripping Dolby Atmos into MKV
Yes, it's a problem with most solutions that try to slam ATMOS tracks into an MKV container. So far only Elaborate Bytes seems to have solved the issue by writing custom code for MLP handling in MKV containers. Since they released their update, I've had zero issues. I usually rip to folder backup w...

Re: Ripping Dolby Atmos into MKV
To add to the discussion, this is very noticeable on Pixar movies which have a lot of segments for the main feature. The drop-outs occur near the junction between segments (at or shortly after). Toy Story 4 has 61 segments! This is an issue both with MakeMKV and MKVToolnix. Manually assembling TS4's...

Re: Some Blu-Ray subtitle streams not detected by makemkv
Thanks Mrbase.
The todolist, if I understand well, is about flagging forced subtitles as flagged.
Here subtitles are not detected at all.
And that includes non-forced subtitles (Spanish for KB2, plus 2 asian languages I did not recognize for both KB1 and KB2)

Some Blu-Ray subtitle streams not detected by makemkv
Hi. I have problems with Kill Bill volumes 1 and 2, US Blu-Ray editions (region free) Only some (PGS) subtiltes are recongnized by makemkv (english SDH, japanese, plus Spanish for Kill Bill 1) Other subtitles, such as Forced English or Forced French (for scenes in japanese language) do not appear an...

Re: Converting Blu-ray PGS subtitles
This is just awesome!
The only time I noeed something else than Mac OS X is this pre-relase version of mkvtoolnix.
Once it is out and available for the Mac, we'll have a decrntly simple process and WIndows will be totally out.
Thanks!
