Progress in the software players and BD subtitles
I just gave the latest VLC nightly a try with BD subtitles ripped with MakeMKV. This is the first time that I see a software player capable of handling the BD subtitles. They display fine. http://nightlies.videolan.org/build/win32/trunk-20100504-1625/ Allthough on my Core I7 based machine its jerky ...

Samsung TV and Upnp
My Samsung TV (Series 7 led TV) has a nice mediaplayer that plays from upnp server. I can use both Twonky and Jamcasts servers. Twonky I use for video and music files and Jamcast for its virtual soundcard. So when Makemkv announced upnp streaming I was very excited. Allthough the Samsung TV can't fi...

Re: Attempting to use CLI to rip from disc, no luck
I am attempting to use the CLI to rip from retail discs and I'm afraid I'm not using the proper syntax. I would like an example on how to use the CLI's disc mode with both DVD's and BD's (if there is indeed a difference between them...) Thanks in advance! ---Qriist Please see this example : http://...

Re: Title # was skipped due to navigation error
HI! I was trying to convert a dvd concert with this tool but the title containg it gives me that error. All the extra material converts perfectly and very very fast! I'm using Win XP SP2 and I have the vob files saved in my PC (Inf fact, I downloaded the full dvd form the internet). Since its not a...

Re: Subtitles Issue > What Player Will Show Them?
If you don't have any compiler set up you can try a VLC nightly build: http://nightlies.videolan.org/build/ I just tried today's win32 build. I noticed I could advance the slider of an .mkv file without it crashing. I don't have an .mkv with a pgs sub handy at the moment to try that though. http://...

Re: MakeMKV Pay Model question
I did hear $50 dollars rumor and personally I think it is too expensive Not to argue with your standpoint but for me $50 equals the price for 1.8 Bluray movies (yes, not even 2 blurays, they are expensive here). So I think the price is fair since I will buy many more Blurays now that i can use Make...

Re: How to get the main movie if its more then 1 stream
The "good" news is that the problem is confirmed and identified. This disc has a movie with 4 angles and MakeMKV fails to detect that and only exctracts a middle of the movie. The bad news is that you'll have to wait for the next version. Thank you very much for sending the files, it help...

Re: How to get the main movie if its more then 1 stream
The streams you refer to are so-called secondary video streams. They are not part of the main movie. Are you saying that for this disc the start of main movie is missing? It sounds like an error, please send all *.clpi and all *.mpls files from disc compressed with archiver of your choice to suppor...

MakeMKV bug in finding subtitles on specific BD
I have a new BD, Secret of Moonacre (nordic version), that MakeMKV only finds 2 out of 4 subtitles. Please see the picture. At the snapshot used AnyDVD image to be able to show comparision with BDREbuilder. Same behaviour when I disable anydvd and use the original disc. eac3to also finds all subs. S...

Re: 2 issues when converting DVDs
I am in the process of converting all my DVDs to a format i can play on my WDTV live and have found MakeMKV pretty easy/quick to use. However, i can't seem to preserve any chapters, when i press next on my WDTV live it just comes up with the red no entry sign. Along with this, when i fast forward, ...
