Re: LG WH16NS60 drive issue
I got the Pioneer Drive a bit ago and got it installed. Testing it out now so far reading CD, DVD and BD discs right out of the box. I have immediately noticed this drive is much quieter than the LG. I can barely hear it running. Probably will try to flash it tomorrow. Very pleased so far.

Tell me your country of residence. United States Looking at Pioneer BDR-212DBK, Asus BW-16D1HT Get a Vinpower 212V full size internal or a Verbatim external. Both need to be flashed. Re: LG WH16NS60 drive issue
Can you recommend a better replacement Drive? Seems you posted that as I wrote my edit. My preference would be an internal SATA drive but external USB 3.0 is something I might consider. LG WH16NS60 drive issue
I started to have this issue last evening with my drive. I was Ripping a Blu-ray Box set of Dr Who - The Jodi Whitacker years. I got all the way through to the last 2 special features Discs and now I can't get it to read the discs. I even went back and tried a disc I ripped already and it won't load...

Re: Ripping UHD discs with LG WH16NS60
one other question is what are the best settings for encoding the 4k to save space and preserve most of the quality? That's a question for another tool. MakeMKV takes what's on the disc & puts it in a .mkv container... 1:1. Any perceived differences in quality will likely be due to how your pla...

Awsome!
I should have windows 10 22H2 looks like this will be easy. I'll work on it this evening after dinner and post back how it works out.

Re: Ripping UHD discs with LG WH16NS60
I purchased the Drive in August 2022 from/Though Amazon so I'm guessing it was made after October 2015. I will have to open the computer and look also see what MakeMKV shows for drive info. I'll read those posts too. thanks Just copy/paste the Drive Info/LibreDrive Info from the right-hand MakeMKV ...

Ripping UHD discs with LG WH16NS60
Hello All. I don't know if this has been covered before but I'm trying to figure how to rip UHD movies to use with my plex server. I upgraded to the LG WH16NS60 some time ago when the Pioneer bluray drive I was using died. I've been successful with ripping bluray, DVD and CD's. However, when I tried...

Re: MakeMKV licensing question
I built myself a new PC to replace my old 10 year old Dell that will no longer boot. I have not been able to recover all the files. I purchased a license for Make MKV how can I get my Activation Key resent?
