For Plex, I just disabled all the scrapers and told it to show me the actual folders. The main annoying thing is the "folder view" seems to reset with every update.

This is why I HATE all media streamers, players, servers, etc. (e.g., Kodi, Plex). They all insist on doing the same thing. The optical drives are the bounded resource (bottleneck). They are many, many times slower than your processor, et. al., even when running in a container. You should get pretty much the same speed.

It will display all the drivers in the machine with the disc's label (if present) and provide open/close buttons for each (I tried using just one toggling button but it can be hard knowing what state the drive is in). I have 5 drives and would also like this feature. I wanted to make a batch script to launch 5 instances of MakeMKV, each locked to a specific drive.

Just use something like AutoIt to launch MakeMKV and select the desired drive.

Plus, there is A LOT of good stuff that is only on DVD/Blu-ray, not streaming anywhere.
