Re: What are your failure rate at ripping Blu-rays?
My blu-rays number in the several thousands. My failure rates is much less than 1% (maybe a dozen or so discs). I like to keep several blu-ray drives of different brands in my ripping machine (I realize that internally many brands are the same). I notices that there are some discs/drives that just d...

Re: TV Shows that also made TV movies
For Plex, I just disabled all the scrapers and told it to show me the actual folders. The main annoying thing is the "folder view" seems to reset with every update.

Re: TV Shows that also made TV movies
This is why I HATE all media streamers, players, servers, etc. (e.g., Kodi, Plex). They all insist on doing the same thing. They want to scan all your files, inspecting their names, meta-data, etc., in order to build and organize a library. Then they want to scrape the internet for artwork, etc. Aft...

Re: New Feature Request
Re-reading this topic, I can point to a lot of external drives where the button would be useless. A famous example is any laptop drive in an external drive case. The eject button releases the tray, but it must be physically pulled out, then pushed back in, since the tray isn't motorized in/out like...

The optical drives are the bounded resource (bottleneck). They are many, many times slower than your processor, et. al., even when running in a container. You should get pretty much the same speed.

Re: New Feature Request
If you're on Windows, this guy has an ejector app in his awesome collection of tools. https://www.uwe-sieber.de/ Unfortunately that app is too old, It doesn't run on Win 11, When I try to install it a window popup quickly and disappears. I ran it just fine. And I believe my own software uses the sa...

Re: New Feature Request
I just use a tool I write myself. It will display all the drivers in the machine with the disc's label (if present) and provide open/close buttons for each (I tried using just one toggling button but it can be hard knowing what state the drive is in). I wrote it because the machine I use for ripping...

Re: CLI Argument to open MakeMKV with Specific Drive?
Just use something like AutoIt to launch MakeMKV and select the desired drive.Mistar Muffin wrote: ↑Tue Dec 17, 2024 9:35 pmI have 5 drives and would also like this feature. I wanted to make a batch script to launch 5 instances of MakeMKV, each locked to a specific drive.

Plus, there is A LOT of good stuff that is only on DVD/Blu-ray, not streaming anywhere.
