Extra Stuff Before/After Episodes

I'm trying to extract the episodes from the Z Nation season 2 Blu-ray (UK). MakeMKV shows the episodes to be 10 minutes longer than HandBrake, PowerDVD, etc. When I extract and play them, there is extra "stuff" before the intro and after the credits (again, about 10 minutes worth). The stu...

Re: Question to all: MakeMKV without GUI, console only

I use makemkvcon in a set of scripts that allow me to specify which titles to extract, and for each of those which audio tracks and which subtitle tracks. My scripts extract the title and then pass it to either handbrakecli or ffmpeg to transcode to x264 or x265. I write a control file for each dis...

Re: Question to all: MakeMKV without GUI, console only

I'm not sure I can call what I wrote a scripting language so much as a transcoding script which takes a bunch of options and catalogue files that let you vary options on a track-by-track basis without having to repeat yourself too much. Mine is an actual interpreted language, I write scripts in. Ea...

Re: Question to all: MakeMKV without GUI, console only

I've written my own scripting language, specifically tailored to transcoding discs into mkv files. My automation goals seem different than most. Most people seem interested in quickly and easily extracting or transcoding Blu-rays or DVDs into media files. I'm more interested in repeatability. I real...

Re: Help with Flashing Drive

Now, if you wish to use this drive with AnyDVD, I recommend you DO NOT use WH16NS60 firmware (as in your second firmware listed). NS60 firmware is not compatible with AnyDVD. The majority of folk that use AnyDVD flash their drives with ASUS BW-16D1HT_3.10 from the MK firmware pack. THANK YOU. That'...

Re: Help with Flashing Drive

Thank you for the offers of help. I appreciate it.

I can flash the drive. That's trivial. I just had a couple of questions. That's all.

Follow the guide that's pinned with the recommended firmware.
Or just email me for a self flash kit
That doesn't answer my questions, but thanks anyway. I've read the guide like a dozen times.

Help with Flashing Drive

Can someone please help me? I've read through all the posts on flashing at least a dozen times, and I'm still confused on a couple of things. Just bought a new WH16NS40 to replace my old "friendly" one that crapped out, but it has the new, unfriendly firmware. See the enclosed makemkv info...

Re: Goodbye MKV

If you are worry, why don't you try one of those credit card services that allow you to generate single use numbers. I haven't tried them myself, but they sound neat.

I've looked into using libmmbd before, but couldn't find much in the way of documentation.

Re: Change Default Numbering of Titles

It's not pretty or ideal, but what I do is parse MakeMKV's output and defined a mapping between the mpls or m2ts #, and MakeMKV's title #. The downside is my tools have to call MakeMKV twice, once to get the mapping, and then again to do the extraction. I cache the mapping so that extracting additio...

Re: DVD & Blu Ray Extras...

I'm not sure from your post if you're having an issue with MakeMKV or Plex. I know that it's hit or miss whether or not MakeMKV will show the titles for special features. Sometimes they are there, but shown using their m2ts file instead of their mpls. Other times, they're just completely missing. It...

Re: Show All Playlist

This is odd... I'm looking through the scan log and one of the mpls I am interested in (342), the log says was added as title #3. But it's not. The reason is further down, it says that title was removed as being identical to 800 (the actual movie). 342 is only 4 minutes long. They are in no way iden...

Show All Playlist

Is there a way to make MakeMKV show all playlist? I love special features, but MakeMKV will often not list their mpls in it's GUI. I understand not show ones less than the minimum length or duplicates, but that's not the case. Sometimes I can find them because MakeMKV will list them by their m2ts fi...
