LIBMKV_TRACE: Exception
Hi, first time I see this error -> 001002:0020 LIBMKV_TRACE: Exception: MKV_ASSERT: TimecodeDelay >= int16(0x8000) && TimecodeDelay <= int16(0x7FFF) Using tsMuxer and then mkvtoolnix to manually create a mkv did work perfectly fine. Debug log started at Mon Feb 20 14:15:06 2023 , written by ...

Re: Forced subtitle flag
ignoreForcedSubtitlesFlag="false" This is the one. It's set to true in the default profile in the tar file. I've set it to false in my custom profile and now that my custom profile is working it's taking effect. This is the solution. I were running the untouched default.mmcp.xml and just ...

Re: Why Multiple English (Surround 5.1) Audio Tracks?
If you have two audio tracks with the identical format, eg. DTS-HD Master Audio 6 channels there is no way to identify which track is what beside from playing the file and listen. Recently I encountered many Blu-rays with identical audio tracks or "fallback tracks" like one Dolby Atmos and...

Re: So does LibreDrive require recent bd drives?
With my "non-UHD" drive I learned that if MakeMKV is not showing any LibreDrive information the drive is not supported. I bought a new drive that is supported and at the very first start of MakeMKV it directly showed LibreDrive status.

Re: No Audiotrack in MKV from certain Blurays
You want to add und to your language selection in the MakeMKV advanced settings to avoid the "no audio track" thing. The default setting is -sel:all,+sel:(favlang|nolang|single),-sel:(havemulti|havecore),-sel:mvcvideo,=100:all,-10:favlang but you want to set it to -sel:all,+sel:(favlang|un...

Re: TV Show Extras--A slick way to handle this?
Plex uses TheTVDB.com to show names of episodes, synopsis and so on. I checked the Database for the Specials and nothing is entered there, see https://www.thetvdb.com/series/rules-of-engagement/seasons/0 If you know how this "Episode" is called you can add all that into the TheTVDB to get ...

Re: Do I want the JPEG Attachment?
The attached image is used by some players as the icon for the file. If you browse your files as lists, it isn't that important. But if you use icons for browsing, using the attachment will be more consistent than letting the player choose what to display. My normal work flow is to rip all audio/su...

Re: Can't read AACS VID from disc
MakeMKV doesn't require much processing power or RAM. 2 cores and 4 GB are more than fine.
The problem you experience may be caused by how the VM is routing the BD-ROM drive into the VM.
If it is a 4K UHD Blu-ray you need a LibreDrive compatible drive.

MPC-HC Blu-ray playback (libaacs / libbdplus)
Hi everyone, I just learned how to enable VLC to play encrypted Blu-rays and wondered if there is a chance to enable this in MPC-HC too. I tried copying libmmdb.dll into the MPC-HC directory and renaming it to libaacs.dll and libbdplus.dll and I notice a difference. Without these files MPC-HC nearly...

Re: Best way to direct play 4k uhd rips (plex) or other
The Direct Play "feature" totally depends on the playback device and how the Plex Client can utilize it and not on the device the Plex Media Server is running on. It is only kind of important if you want or have to Transcode. On my computers I can play 4K UHD Blu-rays perfectly fine but if...

Re: UHD (Official) Friendly Drive - Archgon MD-8107S-U3-UHD (Powered by LG BU40N)
I own the Archgon MD-8107S-U3+UJ272(K) (non UHD drive) for two years now and hadn't a single problem. Ok it only was able to read Blu-ray's at 2.0X speed but that's the drives fault, not the OEM (Archgon). I wanted to be future proof and looked for a good drive, ideally in the same form factor. I kn...

Re: Can someone give me a quick rundown on decrypting 4k UHD?
Archgon Style 4k (Loads 4k discs, HL-DT-ST BD-RE BU40N - Seems to be a rip off LG chinese clone) Archgon is a OEM who takes a HL-DT-ST BD-RE BU40N and puts it into an external USB 3.0 enclosure. The drive they use is an official one. It doesn't say LG because nowadays it's much cheaper for companie...

Is there a way to identify a disc manually and maybe the corresponding hkd/sdf/svq files? I just made a mkv out of John Wick 4K UltraHD.

Re: Ripping speed
It may be the drive itself. Until today I used a Panasonic/Matshita BD-MLT UJ272 and never was able to get a faster rip speed than 2.1X for non-UHD Blu-ray discs. Even though the drive can read BDXL it couldn't read UHD discs thus I bought a new one. I went for the LG BU40N and with the stock firmwa...

Re: Custom Profile will not load/ Audio selection
Auto select rules are now only set in the Advance tab of the GUI. I do not remember if it was 1.12 or 1.14 that introduced this change. If you have one in a profile, it will be ignored. Apparently people were confused over the hierarchy of which rule was being used, so Mike simplified things by onl...
