Just a quick note to say thank you to Asmcom for the LG-BU40N flashed to V1.0. After discussing various specs/prices I settled on a bare drive only. It was well wrapped and arrived quickly. Works perfectly with MakeMKV and DVDFab on my Mac.
Would highly recommend.

I would but I use Mac so AFAIK it can't flash the firmware. Although would it work with LibreDrive?

If you check in the MKV app menus you can find Purchase menu item. I have a Mac and it's in the Help menu, don't know if it's the same for Windows. Holy Cow! I followed the links provided by st4evr just to see the price difference between US & UK sellers and what a difference there is. The lg.com link took me to a US Amazon.com seller and with shipping and taxes the price is £119.98. The google.com search finds drives sold in the UK priced ...
