Re: List of BluRay with forced subtitles (version 2)
Kill Bill Volume 1 (separate track) Kill Bill Volume 2 (separate track) The Godfather The Godfather part II Apocalypto ( separate track) Separate tracks are essentially the same as forced subtitles. Both do not show up after the rip is finished. It is just way more annoying when its a separate track...

Re: *** Three user preferences required!!!! ***
This thread is ridiculous. Arguing over a future Makemkv feature is laughable. None of us have any idea what Makemkv will do in the future. We aren't the developers. Second of all I have no impact on what MakeMKV will do with future releases. I was just weighing in on your suggestions. I wouldn't ha...

Re: Subtitles - List Out Track #?
thanks for clearing that up Mike. I was a bit confused about the forced subtitles as well. Now we just have to figure out a way to detect movies that have a separate track with just forced subtitles.

Re: *** Three user preferences required!!!! ***
Request 1 seems unnecessary. Makemkv and AnyDVD Hd are not made by the same developer(s). It is not necessary for Makemkv to have options for Anydvd hd users. Request 2 already exists. If you select the minimum track length in the DVD preferences to something like 60 minutes, then you'll only get th...

Re: MKV file size to change
MakeMKV is not a video compresser or converter. The program just decodes the video and puts it inside of a MkV container. The output size is determined by the size of the file on the disc.

Re: List of BluRay with forced subtitles
I think there has to be another way of doing it. BDsup2sub is able to see if .sup has forced flags even without the video. Could makemkv analyze the PGS subtitles before it encodes?
I have no experience with this so I could be completely wrong.

Re: New user with some general questions / terminology
Lossless is just a high bitrater than standard 5.1. In other words it is a higher quality audio. In order to get the audio that will play in most players, select the subselection of the TrueHD or DTS HD MA. Note: some people like to keep the lossless formats in case a player eventually supports them...

Re: New user with some general questions / terminology
1/2) a forced subtitle is one that just shows up for the foreign language portions of the movie. I.e. Angels and Demons beginning or Iron man cave scene. The new version of mkv can copy only the forced subtitles. The problem you are having is that no video players currently support viewing .sup subt...

Re: List of BluRay with forced subtitles
Mike this is a good update to the program. The only problem I have is that there is no way to tell if there are forced subtitles. It has the "only forced" option for all subtitle tracks. It would be great if it had some indication that there are forced flags in the .sup file. This is a gre...

Re: Demuxing PGS Subtitles
tsmuxer does not work for psg files. It says does "not recognized." Any other programs? I know how to change the format of the sup file, I just can't find a program that will demux the psg file from the MKV file.

Is there any update on this topic? Can Blu Ray subtitles be demuxed from MKV?
