Re: Question about non-English/US copies of movies
Thanks! Inspired me to recheck my options on eBay. Realized I hadn't selected the worldwide sellers option in filters, and found a U.K seller at a decent price. Appreciate the help!

Question about non-English/US copies of movies
Hi guys, This is a little off topic but I figured if anyone would know the answer to this it would be you kind folks. Trying to find a copy of Star Wars Last Jedi in 3D. They’re few and far between, but there’s lots of German/Russian/Italian discs that have English audio tracks. Anyone know what the...

How to playback Frame Packed 3D rips on windows
Anybody have this working? I've found lots of old threads in various places, and a new thread using a tool called 3d fix manager to enable 3d support on newer Nvidia drivers, but I can't get my frame packed rips to play back as anything other than SBS on my pc. Hoping someone here can help!

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Guide Updated 2020
Hey guys,
If I have a drive that ships with official UHD firmware (ie. bu40N) and I flash it for ripping purposes, will it still work with official disc playback on a PC via powerDVD, or would I need to flash it back to the official firmware?

Re: LG WH16NS60 or ASUS BW-16D1HT
I can vouch for him. After a year of using the Bw-16D1HT and running into a handful of discs that wouldn’t rip, I swapped to the Bu40N, which flawlessly ripped a disc that would not rip at all on the other drive. Highly recommenddd.

Got myself a Bu40N. Same disc opened in like three seconds. Anyone beating their head against the wall exchanging bad discs, FYI it's probably the type of drive you're using.

Info on flashing LG BU40N
Hi all, Have run into a few troublesome discs on my Asus drive, so I've purchased an LG BU40N to try. A little confused on what to do assuming the drive comes with the newest factory firmware. It sounds like I need to cross flash it to a different drive and then downgrade. Which drive though? Is it ...

Re: Star Wars 4Ks
Last Jedi Freezes up at about 7gig mark. My guess bad disc no idea how to exchange. Try cleaning the disc with some isopropyl alcohol or glasses cleaner and a microfiber cloth (wipe out from the center NOT in circles around the disc). Often discs with no visible scratches/marks have a chemical laye...

Re: Bridge on the River Kwai
The only way to tell if it is a bad disc is to try it on another drive. Not UHD but I have come across BD discs in the past where my LG drive won't rip it successfully but my Pioneer drive can. Doesn't mean the LG drive is dead (as it can rip other discs just fine), just that sometimes the drive is...

Re: Bridge on the River Kwai
Thanks. No luck unfortunately (although it does sound like it’s getting closer to mounting, if that makes any sense). Any other popular Bd100 discs that you know of that I can try ripping to verify that it’s a drive issue? https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=294596 Huh. So my drive ripped li...
