Hi, hoping someone can help. I have a Pioneer BDR-XD07S and UHD discs show up as "no disc inserted" while regular blu-rays work fine. Drive info below:

i finally got a UD04 based of the 4k recommendation guide, but mine shows that the libredrive is not enabled and it cannot read 4k right not.

I feel like the key is whether BDRFlash has whitelisted RS8590 -> RS8591 (and whether the firmware and kernel are available anywhere).
Available here and pretty sure it will work.

Pioneer Issue: ASUS SBC-06D2X-U with platform RS8950 and fw 1.10 is not supported.


Post the MakeMKV drive info. If it's newer firmware, did you et a firmware dump & send it in?

Post your Makemkv info.

BD combos with RS8591 can't be flashed. Only BD writers with RS8511.
