Re: Pioneer BDR-UD03 UHD possibility
Thank you. I followed the steps, but it seems like the drive can't read any discs that I try (both blu ray and uhd). It'll make loading sounds for a bit and then display "No disc inserted" in makemkv. Drive Information OS device name: F: Manufacturer: PIONEER Product: BD-RW BDR-UD04 Revis...

Re: Pioneer BDR-S09XLT LibreDrive ready but not ripping UHD-discs
Hello, longtime lurker, first time poster ;) I also saved one of these drives from a machine which was being WEEEd - MFD is June 2015 so I presume it'll still be on the original FW (S/N begins 0FDL017). I presume this will also need a firmware patch? Also if there are tools for dumping FW for these...

It is selected. The green check mark at "Encrypted firmware". You have no idea what you were doing and should't have it done the first place.

Re: Problem with new LG BH16NS55SO
Thanks Billy, you are correct that I did try the official LG BU40N encoder in my futile attempt to salvage this and can see that I have made it worse.. I apologise for my ignorance but how do I downgrade to BU40N 1.03MK with enc ? I don's see this as an option in SDFtool Flasher. Do I need to use a...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2024
Does the Hardware Type (or Hardware Rev) e.g., SAT 8601 or SAT 8800 remain the same after flashing? Is that a reading from a chip at the hardware level? How can I know for sure its a fake? Does this mean it also probably wasn't really manufactured this year? Details only via PM regarding firmwares....

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2024
But the sleep bug is not that bad to recover from you really do just open close the tray You may have a different problem Maybe but then I don't see what else it can be. My symptom is that when a disk (not necessarily UHD) is left idle in the drive for 2 minutes, the drive stops responding. Can't r...

Re: Problem with new LG BH16NS55SO
Forget it. You haven't read in detail. You need to do the DOSFlash procedure with the firmware that was posted there. If successful you can take further flashing steps w/o DOSFlash. Good luck.
