Re: Pioneer BDR-209DBK Crossflash

Most likely a no-brainer. Be careful if the seller is in China. A lot of fakes are sold from there. Great thanks - it is not from china, so I try get my hands on it and then I probably should contact @Billycar11, right? Can I expect better results from this drive, than from a Verbatim 43888/BU40N (...

Re: Pioneer BDR-209DBK Crossflash

Hi Forum, I don't have a BDR-209DBK available yet, but plan on buying one. So I cannot post the makemkv-info and the seller won't provide this. So my question: Is there something to consider when buy a BDR-209DBK? It seems to be manufactured in early 2015 - can ALL variants of this drive get flashe...

Re: Need help understanding key extraction

I'm sorry but there are things I don't understand with this whole process. I just updated the keydb and MakeMKV does manage to read my disc. But when I boot Xreveal with the same db, the key is not found. Is this the expected outcome? The pinned thread says to send a dump of the disc, but not how t...

Sorry? Whats just as bad? It is what the USB port is for!!!
Switching to a PC is beside the point and a different subject entirely
Umm can we stay on topic...I'm just trying to find out what is wrong with these mkv files created in the application.

Thanks
Please describe your playback chain.

Never heard of such an issue. Reboot your PC and then run Makemkv and try to rip an UHD disc.

my pioneer is capable of viewing 4k, but only with a specific version of powerdvd. Pioneer locked to the supplied powerdvd software to the drive for 4k viewing. my pc is now pretty old and doesn't pass some CyberAdvisor powerdvd tests to enable 4k including: NO intel SGX tech on CPU/motherboard (Ka...

Asmcom, do any have any of the ASUS BW-16D1HT with original firmware (or hardware version) that is v3.11 and not v3.10 or are all the drives you have fixed to do UHD ?
Forget about the stupid 3.11 ASUS firmware. It will have no benefit.

what about current generation LG and Asus 5.25" internal?
Hard to find since LG stopped also production. If - then most likely an ASUS with enclosure. Pioneers are better reader and writer but even harder to find. So check with a seller in the forum.
