Re: Fast bulk audio conversion

[... ffmpeg doesn't support lossless DTS-HD to FLAC conversion, it will only convert the lossy core DTS Track to FLAC. ... After a rip with makemkv (checkbox DTS HD MA set) and a subsequent demux of the mkv with tsMuxeR the conversion to FLAC was successful. I renamed the DTS MA HD track from *.dts...

Re: BD Java - not recognized in Java RE

Dear all, i get on Disks the following message from Makemkv: "This disc requires Java runtime (JRE), but none was found. Certain functions will fail, please install Java. See http://www.makemkv.com/bdjava/ for details." I have Java RE installed but it seems, that its not recognized. Does ...

Re: DVD audio

@thisbejonas "DVD-Audio" is another game than "DVD-Video". I know of two choices to access the "Audio-TS"-part of Audio-DVDs. Both old but working, both from the same developer: Have a look at "DVDAExplorer2008.07.21" and/or the foobar2000-plugin "foo_inp...

Re: Unrestricted Read Speed: Possible, Not Yet Enabled

My experience with optical drives in the past: If the Firmware detects an Audio-CD or a Video-DVD has to be read, the read speed is reduced to about 2x which ist sufficient for "normal" operation but makes ripping cumbersome. For such drives I used MediaCodeSpeedEdit to patch the Firmware.

90DD01E0-B20010 is the "PRO" version
Thank you for the clarification.
In the meantime I bought an ASUS BW-16D1HT (whatever Pro or Non-Pro, I assume 90DD01E0-B20000 Non-Pro) from an official ASUS shop. After a downgrade from 3.0.3 to 3.02 DE and at last to 3.10 MK I'm fully satisfied.

Re: No LibeDrive info in makemkv for Linux

I posted my observation before I flashed my new BW-16D1HT (3.03) back to 3.02: The LibreDrive information for my new BW-16D1HT can be seen in makemkv 1.4.2 for Windows but not in the Linux version. After enabling the LibreDrive state (on Windows) there was no indication on Linux until I ripped a BR ...

Unrestricted Read Speed: Possible, Not Yet Enabled

I found the subject message in some screenshots as a LibreDrive parameter. What does it mean? How to enable it? My first guess was that the old MediaCodeSpeedEdit (http://ala42.cdfreaks.com/MCSE/) could be able to patch the firmware such that the read speed will be increased ("riplock" pro...
