Re: Video compression in MakeMKV?

This sounds great in theory and I knew this before. Practically, something always doesn't work right. Some encoding software packages don't support more than 2 audio tracks. (MediaCoder). Some do not support chapters from MakeMKV. Some do not support subtitles from MKV. Others produce out of sync re...

Re: Video compression in MakeMKV?

I mean an MKV with video track, 4 audio tracks, chapters and subtitles. MKV made in MakeMKV has such structure, and I want to keep it. All encoding software I tried so far doesn't keep at least on of mentioned things.

Re: Video compression in MakeMKV?

I am still to find software which will be able to recompress video while keeping exactly the same mkv container structure as the one from MakeMKV. All I have tried so far failed at this. I didn't try mencoder becuase I'm terrified of command line software.

Video compression in MakeMKV?

Is there in meantime, or will there be in future, a possibility to compress the video track inside MKV container made with MakeMKV?
It would make it the most powerful and user friendly software of this category for sure.

How to: recompress mkv made with MakeMKV

There is a possibility that I already asked about this here before. I can't find the inquiry, nor the answer so I'll ask again. I made a MKV container of my DVD with MakeMKV. I got an MKV file with the file structure exactly as I wanted (chapters, subtitles, audio, video). Now I would like to compre...

Unfortunately AutoMKV acts on all my computers like on big bug. Crashing and breaking up all the time from various reasons. Sometimes without any notification. Ususally it gives that bumbing sound and doesn't even start to reencode. Also, accordcing to the menus, it supports only up to 2 audio track...

MeGUI needs avisynt (avs) file. That means it needs a DVD to. I asked how can one reencode already encoded MKV. I want exactly the same structure of MKV file like one made with MakeMKV, only with compressed video instead of MPEG2.

DVD (multi angle) > MKV (multi angle) !?

I wonder if your powerful little tool can rip DVDs with multiple angles to MKV containers with multiple angles (maybe as separate video tracks)?

Also did you consider making a tool for ripping DVD menus?
