Re: Windows Explorer Crash
I'm pretty sure your drive is remounting for some reason or another (power lose, faulty driver, bad polling, etc.). This can happen so fast that you don't notice. On Linux when this happens the drive may or may not remount (depending on fstab, systemd, etc.), but on Windows it always remounts (I *t...

Re: Windows Explorer Crash
What I just now realized is we haven't mentioned what UHD friendly drive we have, as this could be the common denominator/culprit! I have the ASUS BW-16D1HT and Windows Explorer just crashed while using CloneBD with already unprotected discs, so I believe this just might be BD-RW drive-related! :sh...

Re: Windows Explorer Crash
Unfortunately, same results. It was already on 1024, but then I tried dropping it to 768 and it kept happening during my rips. I will keep tinkering with these settings and report back if anything worked or fixed the issue. Thanks for the update! I also thought I'd mention that I'm not as faithful ...

Re: Windows Explorer Crash
Hey guys. I'm also having this problem on Windows 11. Even after the update to 1.18.3, it's still occurring. The only thing I saw worth trying is to limit the RAM usage, but I haven't had a chance to try it as I only use the Beta and it hasn't been updated, yet. This was the suggestion to prevent M...

Re: Windows Explorer Crash
This is literally the ONLY reason I have NOT purchased this software!
However, I will say since this software is the only choice for people who wish to archive their purchased 1080p and 4K Blu-ray discs, it is well worth the asking price.

Re: Issue with two drives
I had the same problem just now after adding new hdd's to the PC which led to my switching around which SATA ports I was using for each device. There's a mix of SATA 2 and SATA 3 ports on the board. Upstream these are handled by different chipsets. When I plug the optical drive into the SATA 2 port...

Re: Microphone Check Blu-ray - Not Playable
I actually don't play anything through VLC. I first convert movies I own to a smaller HEVC file with BDRebuilder and then play that through MPC-HC, JRiver, or Kodi on my HTPC. Ah, OK. I am unfamiliar with this approach, and have naively been assuming that you are using MakeMKV to process your BluRa...

Re: Microphone Check Blu-ray - Not Playable
I just played it on my dedicated Dynex Blu-ray player that actually circumvents Cinavia (I haven't heard anyone talk about that in a while ). Just checking, but have you added the full path to your VLC.exe into MakeMKV's "View/Preferences/Integration" tab? (I use Linux myself, but I ...

Re: Microphone Check Blu-ray - Not Playable
Dude, the content is AMAZING! I prize it as the best gift my brother has given me. :D Is it playing in VLC now? Or are you using your dedicated BluRay player instead? (Check PM) I just played it on my dedicated Dynex Blu-ray player that actually circumvents Cinavia (I haven't heard anyone talk abou...

Re: Microphone Check Blu-ray - Not Playable
I really do appreciate all of this detailed information, but I don't ever remember needing to do any of this to get a new Blu-ray to be read in the past. MakeMKV's implementation of libaacs (which is libmmbd.so.0 on Linux) should be able to decrypt any standard BluRay automatically, which is presum...

Re: Microphone Check Blu-ray - Not Playable
Will providing the discatt.dat help here? discatt.dat is a binary file, and it should contain the disk's Volume ID (VID). However, you would also need the disk's Media Key (MK) to convert the VID into a Volume Unique Key (VUK). And so discatt.dat isn't useful on its own. Have you installed the aacs...

Re: Microphone Check Blu-ray - Not Playable
There should be enough publicly available device keys and host certificates on the Internet for libaacs to play any "standard" (i.e. non-UHD) BluRay. Obviously I cannot post any of those here though. Having said that, MakeMKV also contains an implementation of the libaacs ABI which VLC sh...

Microphone Check Blu-ray - Not Playable
I just received a new, rather unknown Blu-ray called Microphone Check: The Hidden History of Hip Hop that is definitely not in the database. I was able to copy it with MakeMKV to my desktop, but there is no way to play or convert it. What do I need to do to get this done? Is there some type of file ...
