Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
The main thing you really need to take from this is that the MKV that you are trying to convert to have the Dolby Vision metadata will need to have both video tracks. You can check this by checking the mkv's mediainfo. If you have both video tracks, then converting it should be okay to do. Otherwis...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Hey Gren, I have a ton of ripped UHD's in mkv format, unless I'm reading what you wrote wrong... I can just use your application to direct it to the mkv file and it will convert it to use DV ? Is that all there is to it ? that's it, yeah. but mkv is purely for testing purposes right now, I almost s...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
People recommending the Sony X700 as a Dolby Vision media player should be a little careful. It does correctly play back dual-layer DV if it is muxed into MP4 format, as described in this thread (meaning no HD audio). However, it doesn't play back dual-layer DV in M2TS format. If you try and play a...

Must of changed since yesterday. When I purchased it, it was at $138 and change. I just checked and now I am getting quoted the price you just mentioned.olevelo wrote: ↑Tue Feb 12, 2019 6:28 pmHow did you get it for 140? Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Just tried it with RPO and it reported DoVi with playback off a ext. EDIT: I see what's happening. The TV thinks that it is DoVi due to Blu-Ray Player sending the DoVi signal but when checking the internal display it shows HDR for the .m2ts. I haven't tested it internal with a .mp4 but I believe th...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Nice! Could you try a few .m2ts files from movies with known Cinavia? I'm still trying to confirm if it's totally ok or not, just so busy though. I know there are programs like DVDFab Cinavia Removal, or DeUHD etc worst case, but it would be cool if no messing around was required :) Just have to se...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
your dv mp4 looks to have been converted properly. It seems to be a Vizio issue with certain models, particularly the f1's (latest) as the e0's work fine. the pq65-f1 doesn't trigger dv, yet the m65-e0 works perfectly. Vizio tech support is working on it, as they are able to recreate the issue now,...

That's not gonna do me any good then. Glad I passed on it.Grencola wrote: ↑Fri Feb 08, 2019 5:39 pmLG UP970 only triggers DV on single layer files (LG dv demos, etc) while dual layer m2ts files revert back to hdr10.Jhoopes517 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 08, 2019 2:22 pmEDIT: I have someone that is selling a UP970. Will that play the m2ts from bdmv streams folder?

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Has anyone had any issues with playing the files through the native video app on a Vizio TV? I have a Vizio e55-f1 from last year and I get a video not supported when trying to play off the HDD. Plex only grabs the HDR10 stream and not the Vision. Apple TV is showing green screen but TV recognizes i...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Went ahead and tried remuxing with files from RPO and it started fine, however I kept getting a repeated error of "lost dd sync. resync" Is there any reason that you all can think of as to why or what it even means? I don't know, but I had some issues like this in the past too Freeing som...
