Thanks so much Woodstock (and leethompson). The 'Allow contacting web server for updates' setting was on, but I wasn't connected. After connecting everything worked fine. Below is the reading from Disc 2. Thanks again!! Backing up disc into folder "C:/Video/backup/STAR_TREK_DISCOVERY_S2D2"...

My drive is a Hitachi-LG Model CH30N built in Dec 2015.
The company site doesn't list this model. There is a firmware update for this type of model (CH12NS40) but don't know if it will work. Any suggestions?

Star Trek Discovery Season 2
Am having difficulty cloning. Have only tried disc one. I did click on the link on line four so maybe someone is working on this already or can tell me if I can remedy this with my equipment. I would update the firmware if possible, but I'm not quite sure how. If that's not possible (noting line 3) ...
