Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I've had an issue like that where I get the 'no signal' message on my TV when turning on the player. It was usually fixed by turning the TV off and on again. My player is connected directly to the (LG) TV so it's definitely not something that only happens with switches. Ah damn.. I bound the vrooms...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
My latest report on the X800M2: - Choppy playback issues seem to be resolved after stabilising my network (replaced switches and reserved an access point). Also I need to make sure there's nothing else gobbling up IO on the hard drives from which im playing movies, obviously. - I still have it lock...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
We can generate DV for any HDR10 movie... MKV container is useless to me and this thread is about Dolby Vision , not HDR10/SDR playback... Sure, im just saying there's more to consider when picking a player, but sure for DV the 800m2 is a good proposition, even with everything in my chain replaced ...

no truehd mkv though, that's one of the few reasons why im considering the oppo203 clones.

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
In the end it’s just a convenient container, maybe one day there are players supporting it in mkv. In the meantime you can at least enjoy the RPU on shield/appletv. You can easily remux it, although I’ve found some data loss in my journey remuxing between formats, so for me personally I will stay wi...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Today I had issues with the X800M2 again, when fast forwarding into James Bond No Time to die, 1hr30m.
audio would cut out and progress weirdly.
is your FF/RW always fine @RESET_9999 ?

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Replaced my switch and cabling today, and the 800M2 seems to fare better so far. Sometimes I have truehd movies start without audio, but when I FF/RWD a bit, it works. after also replacing the ethernet adapter for the M1 Mac which is my DLNA/SMB/NFS server and solving some other issues with my rout...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I don't see why someone would use that workflow, it doesn't make sense. If you want a ST-DL file, do not use makemkv, just use yusesope tool. My reasoning is that I would like to keep the TS for now to enjoy playback on a Blu Ray player of today, but if in the future there's a good ST-DL player, ev...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Does anyone have an idea why I get different results... in the first case I have a 49.3mb/s 42.7gb video track in the seco case I have a 48.0mb/s 41.6gb video track That's weird indeed. Maybe waste of space in MEL that tsMuxer would solve when muxing? I recently had a title with 1.6 GB MEL, of whic...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I had a chance to play with my X800M2 today and my experience wasn't quite as good, but I've still got more investigating to do. I'm having a similar experience, may just be my wifi and or my DLNA messing up at times. Also I can't seem to CEC control the player with my LG remote.. only the menus. I...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Does anyone have an idea why I get different results in the DV enabled ST-DL video track when I follow these workflows: Source: Ghostbusters Afterlife [MEL] a) - Use MakeMKV directly on the blu-ray vs: b) - First mux the blu-ray to TS with TSMuxer - Then mux the TS to blu-ray with TSMuxer - Use Make...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Great, I remuxed the dtdl dovi test from mp4 to ts and this also plays now.RESET_9999 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 12, 2022 10:49 pmEDIT:. if I remux the dual-track mkv to ISO first and then to DT-DL TS, it works.
