opening or backuo now just results in a failure and program close for me.
Before today I had DEBUG: Code 03DF and could not normally restart the whole computer after it but do a reset...
Drive is SCSI\CdRomHL-DT-STBD-RE__BE16NU50_1.01 (reflashed external LG internally assembled)

I have a drive out of an external one, reflashed to old Firmware and internally setup: SCSI\CdRomHL-DT-STBD-RE__BE16NU50_1.01
Opening a disc or trying to backup program gets a failure and has to be closed.
