You're welcome. And yeah, Amazon pictures are generally good for getting a general idea what something looks like, but they're not generally very good for things like manufacturing date.

Re: Custom firmware pack with LibreDrive patches
I picked up a BU50N that is a UHD drive that works with LibreDrive out of the box. https://www.amazon.com/Genuine-BU50N-Blu-ray-Internal-Optical/dp/B07BF5LY5Z Is the one you are talking about the same as in that link there? Please keep in mind that those drives were built almost 3 years ago. The pr...

Re: Custom firmware pack with LibreDrive patches
Do you know of any UHD drives that don't need the firmware messed with to work with LibreDrive as-is out of the box? I have tried searching about online but have not really had any luck finding such information due to LibreDrive just being so new and not many details being posted just yet. I picked...

Re: Help is my drive compatible? Wont read uhd
I'm happy with my BU50N. I'm using it as an external drive just by running SATA power and data to it externally. It works with UHD titles out of the box (Firmware BW50). Currently it is supported via LibreDrive for everything but unrestricted read speed.

Re: BD or UHD no longer work
I've tried restarting the application. I've also shut it down, renamed the data directory, and then reopened it. This is what I get when I try opening a blu ray disc: MakeMKV v1.14.2 win(x64-release) started Using direct disc access mode Saved SD dump file as C:\Users\micro/.MakeMKV/dump_SD_C021139D...

Re: BD or UHD no longer work
Is there something that needs to be done to get the fix? Because I'm still having the same problem.

Re: Heads up - Support for LG UHD drives
Is there anything those of us who have "official" drives can do to be of assistance? I have a BU50N.

Re: UHD drives
I'm looking to get an "official" UHD drive. I can get an LG BU40N drive here from Amazon UK, and an enclosure to put it in. Or I can buy a BU50N from the US and have it shipped over. Is there any reason (functionality of MakeMKV-wise) to get the BU50N over the BU40N? I haven't been able t...
