I just had a second look and noted that multiple playlists use the same segment list even though they rip to different sizes.
I'm going to assume that I can use either of the matching playlists.

Watchmen, HBO correct playlist
Has anyone teased out the correct playlists for the three disc release of HBO Watchmen?
The entire series is only 9 episodes and I'm getting 5 on each disc so there has to be some obfuscating going on.
Thanks in advance.

Is "backup" a complete backup
I've made "backups" of a few discs that are playlist obfuscated in the hopes of eventually finding a method to isolate the correct mpls. I've now evaluating PowerDVD 19 and it won't play the menus of these backups.
The backups were made with version 1.14.3
Thanks

Re: A Better Way To Find The Correct Playlist/Segment Map
Well I think I got this method to work with a couple of modifications. 1) I ripped the full disc to my hard drive as a backup 2) I used VLC to open the director (it reads the BD menu fine once its decrypted). 3) I used procmon with: process name contains "vlc" operation is "IRP_MJ_CL...

Re: JRE and obfuscated playlists
Yes. I saw that. I'm not getting any message when I open the disc so either I don't have Java set up right or makemkv isn't detecting the obfuscation.
Hmm.

JRE and obfuscated playlists
I've got a disc with obfuscated playlists and makemkv can't identify the correct episodes. I've install JRE and added the full path to the java.exe to the preferences dialog box. But, how do I know if I have java set up properly. makemkv is still failing to identify the correct playlists and I don't...

Re: Unforgotten mpls
Oops! I read the users first post date. Doh!
So in that case this is still very much a current post. Has anyone figured out the correct playlists for these discs?
Thanks.
