Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
It could theoretically work if the router has the feature of running as a DLNA server to serve the files on the device plugged into its USB port. But, according to @RESET_9999's excellent playback devices info spreadsheet , there's a problem that the x700 only has slow 100Mbps ethernet and slow wi-f...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I have been scanning through this thread and find it fascinating and rather insightful. I've pulled down a few "HDR format : Dolby Vision, Version 1.0, dvhe.07.06, BL+EL+RPU" hybrid releases only to find they don't play in my setup. "dvhe.07.06" means that it's Dolby Vision Prof...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
So I have a question I have a few files withdolby vision hdr : Format profile : Main 10@L5@High HDR format : Dolby Vision, Version 1.0, dvhe.05.06, BL+RPU These play with a green shine, is there any way to just rip the dolby vision out? Tried a few ways even those (i believe) mentioned in this thre...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Yep, that's right. You can turn off any audio or subtitle tracks you don't want by unchecking the boxes for them, but you do need to keep both video tracks (the ones with the codec shown as HEVC) for DV to work.

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Oh, you're in luck then. For the X800M2 you don't need to use BDMV. You can just remux to M2TS and play those files from USB or over the network with DV working perfectly. Just use the "M2TS muxing" option in txMuxeR GUI.

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Can you please tell me how to use tsMuxer to create proper BDMV folders from BDMVs ripped from UHD discs? Icannot find any instruction explaining the workflow. When you say "proper BDMV folders" do you mean with menus and extras? If so, I don't think think that's something you can do with...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Ah, that's interesting. I hadn't thought about the case of supporting non-DV displays. I still think in that case I would personally just keep both files, because hard disks are cheap and time is expensive

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Those are all good questions @hell001 Is this a reversible process? As in if I had the hybrid file, could I revert back to HDR-only and DV-only files? Or would I have need to kept the separated files if I wanted them split again? If it's possible, could someone provide some script examples? You can ...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2022
Just for anyone who is Googling, the Pioneer BDR-XD07TUHD is indeed just a European variant of the BDR-XD07UHD. In MakeMKV the product identifies as "BD-RW BDR-XD07U", and the firmware name is "PIONEER BDR-BDS7". It's working great for ripping UHDBDs.

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
- Connected to my VRRoom switch/splitter, I sometimes need to switch ports back and forth because of otherwise black screen. but this is probably the VRRoom firmware. I've had an issue like that where I get the 'no signal' message on my TV when turning on the player. It was usually fixed by turning...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
FYI: the tsMuxer corruption bug seems to be fixed in the latest nightly (f4fa419 / 2022-02-22-18-30-10).
I've done a couple of full movie remuxes with it and they both passed the test of being fully decoded by ffmpeg with no errors.

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I never tried demuxing TrueHD+AC3 with seamless branching, so I honestly wouldn't know whether DGDemux could or could not apply proper gap-processing in such a track. Actually I'd bet my bottom dollar it would do a proper job. I don't think the writer of DGDemux could live with himself when output ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I use tsmuxer (latest) for DV mkv to m2ts conversation. I checked result m2ts by ffmpeg. m2ts is OK, no error. Thank you for doing a check. That's good to know that it isn't happening in every scenario. I was doing decrypted disc backup MPLS to M2TS so maybe it only happens there. When tsMuxer prod...
