Re: A Better Way To Find The Correct Playlist/Segment Map
Hey, friends. I just caught up with this thread this evening. Interesting information. I'm wondering if this method could be transposed to use VLC as the Blu-ray player instead of those mentioned in the thread. To take it a step further, I also wonder if we can do something similar using macOS util...

Re: Prevent Movie Title from Being Burned at Beginning of Video
Alternatively, you can edit this title before you rip by simply clicking on the main title and changing the name in the field to the right. This way, you'll still retain the metadata, and you won't have to go back later and edit it.

Re: Determine correct Lionsgate Title (non-Blu-ray)
The only sure-fire way to know is to view the disc from the java menu and track the file handles via an application such as OpenedFilesView from Nirsoft. As good as MakeMKV and other applications are, they're not perfect. I can't praise Mike's work enough, but I have seen MakeMKV infrequently identi...

Re: New version looks fantastic
I haven't found the dark mode yet but with just a couple ticks in settings to copy a .dll into System32 and SysWOW64, VLC can now play Blu-Ray and UHD discs. Good work! Agreed, this is awesome work, Mike. This really simplifies identifying the correct playback order on BD discs with OpenedFilesView...

Re: Star Wars 4Ks
My new set just arrived and this version of ROTS is working perfectly. ripping to mkv straight from the disc. SMFH... That means at least 7 of the discs in my last set were faulty. Bravo on the Quality control. Out of 180+ UHD discs ripped, I think I've only had real issues with 3-4 discs an...

Re: Strange UHD playback issue
Try changing the audio format to the core track (i.e. 5.1 instead of 7.1). I found this would happen on UHD playback on players where the audio track was not fully supported. Emby is serving up the files in my case, but similar circumstances - on a 4k Roku TV with a 2.1 soundbar and on my LG OLED bu...

Full Decrypted Backup or Save Single Title - What's Your Preference?
I've been at this game a long time, and I have my workflow, which has evolved over time. It doesn't take long browsing these forums before one can see that it's truly a case of different strokes for different folks, however. Some compress with Handbrake, some call that blasphemy, some backup their e...

Re: Some Discs Fail to Rip Half Way Through
With all due respect, I can say with near certainty that these types of issues do not seem to be due to damage on the disks. I've done well north of 50 rips, and I've seen this behavior over and over again - I don't think they're all damaged. If I had to put my money on something, I'd say it's proba...

Re: Hotel Transylvania 3 US retail BD from the UHD combo
Did this mpls turn out to be the correct one? I saw the same segment layout and can confirm that 337 is the segment that does not display the text "A Monster Vacation," so I concur that 249.mpls is the likeliest choice. Now a bit of a rant - it's really a shame that we had a perfectly rea...
