Unfortunately my bios's on both of my machines either only offer sata with no ide option or sata or raid.. i guess i'm out of luck short of finding another machine i take it?
Or is there a firmware updater that will work when in sata mode?

I appear to have firmware 3.03..
Can i use the 3.01 windows flasher/firmware (BH14NS40_N1.00-A4_patched) posted earlier in this thread to bring it back to version 3.01? Do i just run the patcher under windows and point it to that file and it will flash it and be done?

I've seen this drive mentioned in this thread, but its not clear to me if it "should" work.. I have the GGW-H20L drive.. unsure which firmware (dont think i ever updated it).. Does anyone else have this and know if it works.. when i put a disc in with makemkv it just sits there "scann...
