Re: Trouble recognizing Drive via USB-IDE adapter
This is still an issue. I just built a new PC, but it will only recognize the USB DVD player if I use version 1.15.1 or older. It will recognize the USB Blu-Ray player just fine on newer versions. I could just use the Blu-Ray player to rip DVDs, but I'd rather avoid the unnecessary wear and tear an...

Re: Click missing the beginning of the movie
Tried DVD Fab and it worked fine. Not sure why MakeMKV won't do it right. Never had this issue.

I'm noticing this too. Did you ever find a way around this?

Trouble recognizing Drive via USB-IDE adapter (works fine in older versions)
I searched for "trouble recognizing drive" prior to making this thread, but found no relevant matches. I have a DVD drive attached to a PC with a IDE to USB adapter. Recently, even though Windows would recognize the drive and disc in it, MakeMKV would not. I tried several things (rebooting...

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1
Not as tech savvy as some. Tried one of the new rips via USB on an LG C9 but just got HDR10 and no audio.

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1
- This warning is also found when you select a track to rip and it ends up being empty. I've noticed that this almost always happens if you opt to attempt to rip any forced subtitles as a separate track and there are no forced subtitles available to rip on the associated track. Nothing to worry abo...

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1
I've previously made folder rips of all my 4K discs for the expected update that has just come. I just finished re-ripping all of them from the folder backups and I happened to notice that the following note (or similar) is displayed for each one once completed. "AV synchronization issues were ...

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1
1.15.2 Implements the latest method for storing DV metadata (per new spec) and has a fix for invalid layer id (spotted by yusesope). In theory, this should be a "final working" version. Let's see if other tools will pick it up... I assume mkvtoolnix would need a new version too to avoid b...

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1
Somewhat OT but curious if anyone has any insight (or guesses) as to whether it will be possible with future DV mkvs if transcoding of such files could be performed while maintaining the DV layer. Say share a 1080p version remotely over Plex but with DV HDR or with Handbrake.

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1
That helps clarify - what is the best way to create a TS/M2TS that will carry both signals? Would DVDFab be able to do that working off of the original BDMV? Makemkv, then use eac3to to extract the thd+a 3, then tsmuxer to convert to ts and add the audio back in. There's a post here somewhere with ...

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1
the ethernet adapter is garbage. it's not gigabit, and actually only gets around 70-80mbps max. I thought my 300/300 internet was acting up til I realized it was the adapter. when I switch to 5g wifi ac I get my full 300mbps down and about 60mbps up, due to the firestick's hw I'm not using the offi...

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1
Sorry for the OT but anyone who's in the know on things have any idea if the Plex memory leak issues on the shield also affect the Fire stick in a similar way? I have one connected to an Ethernet adapter and it will direct play 4K rips (with FLAC to PCM audio) just fine, except every 5 to 20 minute...
