I just installed mkv 1.14.1 in ubuntu 18.10 I tried a dvd and it scans and I select the title and hit the start button and the app just hangs and does not do anything, anf I have to kill -9 the process I try a blu-ray and I insert a disc and it starts to scan then hangs on decrypting.
