155 is definitely not right, and can quickly be confirmed. Not sure why the Java code is deciding it's correct.
071 on the other hand, is correct. I verified by comparing various timestamps with my Blu-Ray rip.

Re: Zombieland 4K UHD AACS 2.1
Does anyone know why it is that it seems to only be Sony releases with AACS 2.1? They're the only who care enough to use it, apparently. Moreover, why use v2.1 on catalog titles and not brand new ones? Mind-boggling... I remember reading somewhere, but can't find the info, that AACS 2.1 could poten...

Re: Manufacturing Defects as Protection?
I've gotta ask, are the discs you're reading by chance some of the recently-released Pixar movies that feature a UHD disc stacked on top of the BD bonus features disc? Because while only in rare instances have I had issues, in the case of Finding Nemo and Finding Dory, right out of the box the two U...

My regular copy purchased from Best Buy just decrypted. That's gotta be the quickest turnaround I've seen. Poor Mike was probably getting swamped with emails for this one.

Re: Avengers 4 endgame
Not sure if it helps but I was able to backup the retail copy just fine (US). Maybe the key has already been updated. BD-RE Asus BW-16D1HT drive that is recommended here and purchased the disk from Best Buy. Another FYI for anyone new to this, you'll always be able to do a full disc backup, even if...

Re: Avengers 4 endgame
Remember that they don't just manufacture these discs with a single volume key, many of them are in play. That's what it'll work for some people and not others -- it's just luck of the draw if you managed to get a disc with the same key as someone else who submitted their dump before you.

Re: 2 Disks that timeout during decrypt
I've been there before... it might be worthwhile to see if you can just do an unencrypted disk dump. If that works you can decrypt the dumped copy. It's worth a shot, worked for me once.

You submitted a dump to svq@makemkv.com, right? In my experience it takes a couple days, but never longer than a week.

Re: Blade Runner 2049 Perspectives
https://www.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=17080 It sounds like there's different playlists for different language localizations (i.e., one version with billboards and other on-screen text in English, one in French, etc.). Very common in Pixar movies, for example. The linked thread seems to indic...

I think MakeMKV actually consults an online database of hashed keys. The text file is a fallback, and you have to update it manually.

Re: UHD Bluray taking forever to copy, is this normal?
Just a bit of exaggeration. What I mean is clean the disc thoroughly, and even if it looks perfect it may still have issues. You may have to clean it multiple times before you can get a clean rip.Morganator wrote: ↑Wed Jan 16, 2019 1:43 pmThanks for your response. Sorry could you clarify what you mean by clean and clean again. Thanks

Re: UHD Bluray taking forever to copy, is this normal?
I would think the read errors are the more pressing issue. Clean it thoroughly, then clean it again. UHDs are really picky.

Re: 2001 A Space Odyssey
They did actually discover it because some people got their discs early (waaay back when it was supposed to come out in October). There's an epic thread on a Blu-ray site about it.
Also, it looks like the keys have been updated because I was able to decrypt my disc just now.

Re: 2001 A Space Odyssey
The earlier release, at least in the US, is very different from the one released today -- they went back and fixed a spot in the film that was supposed to be a fade rather than a cut. So there's definitely different keys.
