I have had the same issue when converting to FLAC on Ubuntu 8.04 it worked fine in 1.12.3 it also works fine when ripping the audio without conversion. After I updated from 1.12.3 to 1.14.1 on my Windows 10 1803 rig, I began to notice EXTREMELY slow Bluray and ISO rips when doing On-the-Fly audio conversions from DTS-HD to AAC. Are you trying to do audio conversions while ripping? I know when I installed 1.14.1, it started hammering my C drive disk with a temp file whenever I'd do a rip with AAC audio conversion on the fly. Even with an SSD as my OS drive, it would bring usage up to 100% and I'd have average response times...
