Re: Did my drive die? BD-RE WH14NS40
Try IsoBuster to see if it can "see" a disc in this drive. I haven't checked for a long time but IsoBuster used to have a trial version. If it can't see any disc then I would say the problem is the drive or a bad connection to the drive. I don't know if this would cause any problems but yo...

Re: Advice for Asus BW-16D1HT
From my research you can not do the flash to an optical drive that is connected USB. The reason is the DosFlash program does not detect an optical drive that is USB connected. I also doubt that a laptop SATA can be set to IDE , ATA, or Legacy in the BIOS to allow the flash drive with DosFlash on it ...

Re: 100% Firmware Downgrade for ASUS BW-16D1HT and LG BH16NS55
I found this advice on another forum & I would like some opinions on it. The best flash is to use LGWH60NS40 ROM v1.02, or ASUS 16D1HT v3.02 or LGWH60NS60 v1.00 as the base for UHD "friendly" depends on which drive you have, then replace the 0x001E9000 to the end (the section for the b...

Thanks for answering Billycar11. I should have searched this forum more throughly. TeddyRaspin also posted the hex edit I found on the other forum. That poster probably ripped it off from TeddyRaspin. https://makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=17091&p=60551&hilit=0x1E9000+to+0x1EBFFF...

Re: 100% Firmware Downgrade for ASUS BW-16D1HT and LG BH16NS55
I've been reading on this forum & other forums. I want to crossflash a LG WH16NS60 (SVC code NS60) to an Asus BW-16D1HT. I have used the DosFlash (outside Windows) & Hex edit method successfully on a LG WH16NS60 & a LG BH16NS55 to v. 1.02. Both (SVC code NS50) so the method is familiar t...
