I've had no problem extracting the DTS core of a DTS-HD-MA stream using MakeMKV

Re: "Kung Fu Panda" BD Problem
unrelated to your problem, but why would you bother decrypting to an ISO image first? Just leave AnyDVD-HD running in the background and let MakeMKV read directly from the disc. Unless you like adding 60-90 mins extra to your ripping process for no good reason. (Ignore this if you back up all your b...

Re: Bluray chapter issues
update: issue still present in MakeMKV 1.4 beta.
additionally, the first chapter marker (which is not at 00:00:00) is being labeled 'chapter 0' instead of 'chapter 1'

Re: Video compression in MakeMKV?
This sounds great in theory and I knew this before. Practically, something always doesn't work right. Some encoding software packages don't support more than 2 audio tracks. (MediaCoder). Some do not support chapters from MakeMKV. Some do not support subtitles from MKV. Others produce out of sync r...

Re: Video compression in MakeMKV?
I mean an MKV with video track, 4 audio tracks, chapters and subtitles. MKV made in MakeMKV has such structure, and I want to keep it. All encoding software I tried so far doesn't keep at least on of mentioned things. you can re-encode video with any encoder and then use mkvmerge to create a new MK...

Re: Video compression in MakeMKV?
I am still to find software which will be able to recompress video while keeping exactly the same mkv container structure as the one from MakeMKV. All I have tried so far failed at this. I didn't try mencoder becuase I'm terrified of command line software. I'm not sure what you mean by 'k...

Re: "BD+ Feature unsupported"
BD+ is a second layer of security in addition to AACS encryption. It's not new, as it has been used since the fall of 2007. Best way to bypass it is to use AnyDVD-HD, then run MakeMKV as usual

Re: Video compression in MakeMKV?
already asked and answered, and the answer is no. There are plenty of other programs which can recompress the MKV file created by MakeMKV, such as mencoder.

Bluray chapter issues
two problems I've run into: 1) it seems that any files written by MakeMKV 1.3b797 do not have chapter 1 as being at 00:00:00.000, but rather at the first non-zero chapter mark. Chapter 1 should always be 00:00:00.000. 2) Attempting to skip forward or backward in some media players (namely XBMC) caus...

Feature request: select/deselect all titles
de-selecting all 20+ titles from some discs is quite annoying when all you want is the main movie title

A solid foundation with a few missing elements
tested v1.2 beta build 692, and am very impressed with what I saw. Given my current work flow, it's not ready to replace my other tools yet, but could be with a few small tweaks: General: - allow toggling of subtitle status on/off. On by default is a pain, as all players I tested will show them even...
