Re: Any way to strip Dolby Vision and just mux HDR10?
I could really do with this functionality - the option to select whether or not to keep DV.

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Could someone explain when I would and wouldn't need to use cropping with dovi_scripts? If my source file 2160x3840 and destination file is the same but the video is encoded with black bars do I use cropping?

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Would someone be able to give me a quick run down of how to convert HDR10 mkvs to Dovi mkv using MadVR? Thanks very much.

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
OK so with black.levels.pattern.modified_3079.ts the Z9X goes down to about level 67. What exactly does this mean and what does issues with the HDMI input devices mean? Edit. Could adjusting the DV block in the EDID help? It means you're dealing with the same issue we've seen before, and it only af...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I can't see any change in picture in L2_trim_chroma_weight, L2_ms_weight, nor any L3 and L8 tests. Please, can you explain to me what this means? It suposses any problem to Dolby Vision FEL/MEL processing on this device? This is expected and it means the CCwGTV (or your TV, but unlikely as you said...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
We've just discovered a bug withe Zidoo Z9X Dolby Vision output. Using the DV test pattern from here: https://www.biaslighting.com/products/shadow-detail-patterns-with-bias-lighting-reference the Zidoo Z9X will only resolve black levels down to 85. The Nvidia Shield has been tested and it correctly ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Anyone tried the 5.0 fw from Ugoos on am6 b? Wonder how’s the dv playback. I will test it when I have time (currently the unit is somewhere, need to find it lol) . Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I have a question regarding encoding a file to 1920x1080p and add the Dolby Vision later. Somehow, I don't get the right file after RPU insertion. I have encoded a Game of Thrones Episode (4K REMUX, which is Dolby Vision, Version 1.0, dvhe.07.06, BL+EL+RPU). I encoded it without cropping, (which I ...

Do you know how I can enter a "min_display_mastering_luminance" vlaue of 0.005? It doesn't seem to like that - it only want whole numbers. I've used 0 which I think must be close enough!

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Thanks for that. Is there an idiots guide on HDR10+ to DV conversion? 1- extract HDR10+ into a json hdr10plus_parser.exe -i X:\HDR10+.hevc -o X:\HDR10+.json 2- create a json with L6 metadata (static HDR metadata: match your source) { "length": 0, "level6": { "max_display_ma...
