Re: Subtitle
If there is more than one subtitle in the movie and I'm not sure if makemkv added a subtitle with just forced subs, I use mkvcleaver to extract the .sup file and use bdsup2sub to look at the sup file and see what it is. It's easy to tell if it's full subtitles or just the forced ones. If makemkv cre...

Re: Subtitles and Forced Flags
I have no doubt it outputs the regular subtitles unchanged. My question pertains to forced subtitles from WITHIN a regular subtitles stream (as opposed to movies with a separate, distinct forced subtitle stream). For instance, say I use makemkv to make an mkv with video, audio and subtitles. Is ther...

Re: Subtitles and Forced Flags
Still, I still can't prove it is working. Say I have both subs and forced subs checked in the ticker and makemkv puts out an mkv with one subtitle stream (which it does), how would I know that that pgs stream preserves the forced flags? My current practice is to run the mkv through the latest snapsh...

Re: Win explorer crashes when I navigate to folder with MKVs?!?
I've been using divx. I wonder if this problem has been posted on their forums.

Subtitles and Forced Flags
Ok I am not understanding the whole forced subtitles option. If I rip Iron Man (a movie with known forced flags within the regular default subtitle track) with both subtitles and forced subtitles checked, I get one subtitle file. If I check only forced subtitles, I get only a very small forced subti...

Re: Win explorer crashes when I navigate to folder with MKVs?!?
It is a weird issue. It happens to me too. At first I thought it was divx because it actually showed in the windows explorer error that some divx.dll was involved. I uninstalled it and the problem persisted. When I did a completely fresh install of windows 7 on my laptop, and copied the files back o...

Chapter Naming
Hello. Now that Handbrake is able to import chapter titles from an mkv (such as one produced by MakeMKV), I was wondering if MakeMKV can name the chapter titles, "Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3, etc." by default instead of the current "Chapter 00, Chapter 01, Chapter 02 etc." Th...

Star Trek Seasons 1-2 (Haven't tried 3)
Ok there are still problems with the Star Trek Seasons. It simply misses an episode on Discs 2, 3, and 4 (Season 1) and Discs 1, 3, 4, and 7 (Season 2). I don't now what log I should post if it's not seeing the episode to begin with. Should I just tell it to rip everything it sees and post a log? Di...

Re: List of DVD/BluRay that haven't worked
Hello, I posted the problem with the blu ray star trek disks. Sorry it has taken me so long to get back with the logs. This is what MakeMKV shows before I start it. When it's done it shows 3 titles that I can rip of Season 1 Disc 3 of Star Trek. The problem is there are four episodes on this disc. T...

Re: List of DVD/BluRay that haven't worked
The Star Trek blu ray seasons didn't work in 1.4.8 but in 1.4.9 they are working with a few exceptions. On some of the blu rays episodes are missing in the makemkv selection. For example on disks 2-4 in the first season, 1 episode is missing from each mkv rip. I checked the blu ray on my ps3 and all...

Does makemkv properly transfer the DRC flags from AC3?
I've used makemkv 1.4.8 on a few of my blu rays and watch them on my wdtv. One thing I've noticed is that I'm constantly adjusting the volume during playback because loud sounds are too loud and talking can be too soft. I also have to do this with playback on my computer. From what I can understand,...
