I have just bought a new Asus BW16D-1HT drive and it has latest FW v3.11 installed and I don't think there is yet an MK version of this ?
SDFtool recognises the FW as encrypted but will not install v3.10MK.
Please advise on a way forward. Thanks in advance !

I have an Oppo 203 which does play my full Gladiator rip with Dolby Vision - streaming from my NAS via SMB. I haven't tried NFS.

I am not having success getting a Gladiator MKV (created from my full rip with MakeMKV 1.15.4) to play with Dolby Vision on my Shield Pro.

MKV tells me

In MKV? doubtful. as its doutful it will ever get a firmware update.

What about as a straight bluray rip using MakeMKV 1.15.1 ?

Give that sample a try. If it works with Atmos+DV, then something's wrong with your remux process. If you're still encountering playback issues, then it's something with your setup.

Here are the attached zip file for you and the steps you need to properly downgrade, erase, and flash eeprom.

1) Prepare an USB stick with Rufus making Dos Bootable and unzip on USB root the attached file.

2) Disable CSM in bios or enable the Legacy Boot.

3) Disable any other SATA ...
