Is that drive powered via USB? Does it have two USB connectors and are they both connected either to the computer or two a powered USB hub? Great call! That was the problem! (Or at least, -a- problem. I'd suspected power might be an issue, but I never thought it would manifest itself with those kin...

does the ole DVDShrink application still work? I'm on a Mac, so it's not available to me. (I have access to a Windows PC, so maybe I will give it a try if I get the chance.) Part of me thinks it's unlikely that a 15-year-old app would more likely work than apps updated in 2021... but you never know...

I should mention I can't get Handbrake (with libdvdcss installed) to rip this successfully, either.

"OS error" when trying to read DVD
