Re: Asus BW-16D1HT Firmware crashes? Faulty drive?
Interesting situation with Superman - The Movie UHD on my Asus BW-16D1HT on 3.10MK. 1.15.3 could barely register the disc had been loaded on multiple attempts, when it did register the disc as being loaded, the title decryption stage struggled badly and eventually loads of errors appeared in the mak...

Re: Only convert LPCM to FLAC
I'm on Windows and there is no need to re-build the .tar file. I extracted the FLAC profile and saved my own edited version, e.g. "MyFLAC.mmcp.xml" to C:\users\...\.MakeMKV and with expert mode enabled in MakeMKV, I simply select my personal FLAC profile from the drop-down list. I needed t...

Re: Pi 4: Can it play blu ray rips
I might add that the 3B needs a licence for VC-1 playback, but that costs one cup of coffee. I don’t have a Pi 4, I understand they have dropped licence keys for MPEG and VC-1 ?

Re: Pi 4: Can it play blu ray rips
I have several Pi 3B’s running LibreELEC / OSMC and they play bluray mkv’s without breaking a sweat.

Re: DTS Multi to FLAC does not work
you are providing more information now about what you are tryng to do. It sounds like you might be more comfortable with GUI-based tools rather than using an ffmpeg script on the command line. So here's one way to go about what I think you are trying to achieve. Rip your source to an mkv file, with ...

Re: DTS Multi to FLAC does not work
I've previously reported that the standard FLAC profile does not have an entry for regular DTS. Not seen an acknowledgement of that however. https://www.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=22449&p=91600#p91600 I got around this by creating my own profile file, adding in this missing entry ...

Re: Doctor Who - The Collection Season 10
I have the UK edition of this release and for me 1.15.2 under Win 10 also fails on this title, but 1.14.5 (oldest version I have locally) does not. 1.14.5 gave me an output file with a nominal duration of just 10 seconds, and the content was a rapid-fire flash through of various menu screens. 1.15.2...

Re: Subtitle default mkv flag handling
My tests were with episodes 1 and 2 of Game of Thrones Series 1 bluray, which no version of makemkv has handled correctly since 1.14.5. Episode 1, with no forced subs in the main track, output had one sub track, not marked as default, Kodi and VLC play without the subs unless user requests (versions...

Re: Where is the new drive speed option?
My Asus BW-16D1HT on 3.10 MK firmware is currently flying through the UHD of Spiderman Homecoming with “0=99” set for drive speed. Does this mean that 3.10 MK does not have the sleep bug?

Re: Where is the new drive speed option?
Would have been rather helpful if this was made clear on the main-page release notes, as the obvious first thing for a user to do is go looking for it in the GUI.

Re: Subtitle default mkv flag handling
Just checking in on this again. Looks like the behavior still exists in 1.15. Any updates? Sigh. Believe it or not, this was actually a bugfix -- "if the subtitle track is flagged by default, and then it turns out to be empty, and the track is derived - then flag his parent/base track as defau...

1.15.2 drive speed control - where is it?
Running 1.15.2 registered version on Win 10, drive is an Asus BW-16D1HT on MK 3.10 firmware. When the pilot unlimited drive speed was available, it ripped really fast. According to the release notes for 1.15.2, there are drive speed control options available somewhere? I have Expert mode enabled and...

FLAC profile has no entry for regular DTS
As per subject line, MakeMKV 1.15.1 FLAC profile has no entry for regular DTS 5.1. I had to add it to my own profile in order to convert.

Re: Correctly recode PAL 25fps dvds to standard 23.976 fps
ok, one more post on this, in case it helps others. As noted above, I found a couple of titles where the re-encode is unwatchable due to poor lip-sync. I fixed this by using the FLAC profile in MakeMKV, it turned out on one title there was a 480ms delay on the DTS soundtrack that needed to be filled...
