Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1
So is DV working with MKV rips now ? This is my current playback method and haven't seen DV get triggered by my LG CX on any recent DV MKV rips: HTPC . Emby . MadVR . MPC-BE. Explain it to me like I'm five. What I gotta do? Won't work on LG. Have to use a Shield with the custom exoplayer found in t...

It really is an awesome deal. I paid for the full version years ago and have ripped close to 1,000 discs since then.

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Hey Gren, I have a ton of ripped UHD's in mkv format, unless I'm reading what you wrote wrong... I can just use your application to direct it to the mkv file and it will convert it to use DV ? Is that all there is to it ? that's it, yeah. but mkv is purely for testing purposes right now, I almost s...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
for those who care, I've updated my program to be smarter. I combined the two apps into one, and named it DV-MP4-Maker. It now checks for the file type (m2ts or mkv) in the chosen directory and runs the required script. I added support for smb/network shares (although mapping the network drive work...

Re: hdr and windows 7
I added 2160p23 in the "List all display modes madVR may switch to" Fixed the micro stuttering. Yes, this is because you were asking it to play 23fps movies at 60fps before you made the change. Dont be afraid to enable other options such as 2160p24 or 2160p60 etc...MadVR is smart and will...

Re: hdr and windows 7
Win 7 can pass HDR content using MADVR and MPC-BE, working for me on LG B6. I just got this to work on my B7 but every now and then there is micro stuttering. Is there an option in the tv that can help smooth it out while HDR is on? I have a GTX980 and i7-4790k, i have a dual monitor setup Make sur...

Re: MakeMKV's pristine UHD BD rips & their playback compatibility on (un)common devices
Why are we leaving PC's out of the discussion ? The list for an HTPC is pretty short: HTPC: Does everything ? A: Yes :D As far as MKV playback that is. It's kind of funny that PC's have falled off the grid when it comes to streaming. It's really a platform that COULD do everything (streaming wise) i...
