i have both newly gotten ...

ASUS BW-16D1HT
and
LG WH16NS40

both are ejecting uhd right away....is this normal?

I was on the understanding these two drives cold transfer data from uhd even though they aren't uhd burners...was i misinformed?

could the case its in make a difference ...

You might also need to check if your blu-ray optical drive is working fine and can read blu-rays. If it’s an external blu ray drive, check if connected tightly. MakeMKV is a good software and I’ve been using this app for 6+ years.

Do these drives have to be flashed to use LibreDrive, and if no, can they be flashed and what would the advantage in flashing them be?

I would prefer to use them initially as is, and maybe flashing them later, if it has advantages.

What is the recommended drive at the moment for a MacPro with High Sierra?

Hi Rainer. I’m using the ASUS BW-16D1HT, UHD ...

it happens whatever blu-ray disc i put into the drive.

i have tried:
District 9
Transformers Revenge of the Fallen
Star Trek II Wrath of khan
and the first one i tried: an anime blu-ray set by the name of "Rokka - Braves of the Six Flowers"

all produce the same result.

i tried testing again ...

Hi guys, I've first version of this driver. Looks Asus changed model but not the model name. I did upgrade from Asus page and it doesn't read disks (Audio CD, DVD , Bluray nothing)

Can you indicate what OS are you on and how is your blu-ray connected to your PC. Are you using the latest version of MakeMKV
