But have you actually
tried the proposed "fix"?

Thank you for using an alternate color in your post- it made it much easier to read and understand.

Yes I tried the fix and it made no difference on my box.

Re: Win explorer crashes when I navigate to folder with MKVs?!?

Not sure it has anything to do with thumbnails, you try to open from divx (or any program) and it happily displays thumbnails. I believe this has been happening to me since .10 or so and what I've noticed is that it's not the fact that you've navigated to the folder but that you've 'selected' (ie. s...

Re: Win explorer crashes when I navigate to folder with MKVs?!?

correct. for the "one" test i did the problem has not re-occured. But i failed to mention the mkv is not even playable on my pc- once again i didnt even test playing it when i wrote my last response- so in reality ....yeah... this is probably not a good test.

Re: Reverting back to previous versions?

The last thing i have that 'works' on my bd390 is Family Guy Dark Side which I'm pretty sure I did with .11

i'll give that a try with the mad men discs and report back.

Re: Win explorer crashes when I navigate to folder with MKVs?!?

It appears that 1.5.1 doesnt have the problem...this is of course if something else hasnt changed on my pc. The one interesting thing already pointed out is if I try to open the folder in an application...could be anything like notepad...and view the files ...in detail in thumbnail doesnt matter...n...

Re: Reverting back to previous versions?

I've been ripping all of the Mad Men discs...when it's been with previous version of MakeMKV it's worked..no win explorer crashing...no resetting of the 390. it's not a video codec issue (although that has happened before)..the player will literally just shut off after i attempt to start playing. Fo...

Re: Reverting back to previous versions?

its a LG BD390. Blu rays ripped with v.10 work perfectly. I first noticed an issue with the last couple of versions here http://www.makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=1036 . But didnt think much of it and assumed the BD390 would play them as it always has. Bad assumption- it's causing it to ...

Re: Reverting back to previous versions?

I'm sure he will. I actually just did a test of 1.5.1 and now the player is saying video codec not supported...instead of just resetting itself. Stuff i have from .11 previous is still working. Just frustrated because I ripped a lot on the last version without testing it on my player- it's never bee...

Re: Reverting back to previous versions?

I can appreciate what you're saying...that being said I cant recall of a time where subsequent releases of a software introduced this many *new* issues cause right now i'm dead in the water. I'm not trying to flame here but right now as a 'beta' consumer of this product I'm just trying to get to the...

Reverting back to previous versions?

sorry but I was wondering if its possible to post previous versions of the software?

the last two revisions have been nothing but trouble. Win explorer crashes when I try to view the file and now my bd390 resets when i try to play it. None of these things happened before.

Re: Win explorer crashes when I navigate to folder with MKVs?!?

Yes I had the full *free* Divx product on which I assume included MKV Preview. I suspected Divx could've had something to do with so I uninstalled it but the problem still remains.

Re: Win explorer crashes when I navigate to folder with MKVs?!?

**Update just tried it for another Blu-ray and same thing. I had to use a laptop with XP to connect over the network to even be able to delete the folder. I can still navigate to folders with MKVs created with an older version of MakeMKV with no issue. Two different discs on two different win7 machi...

Win explorer crashes when I navigate to folder with MKVs?!?

Have Win7x64 and have had no problems with other versions of MakeMkv. I can rip MadMen S1D2 without error but when I navigate to the folder that has the MKVs windows explorer crashes. I tried it from a networked pc (also Win7) and it crashes as well.

This never happened before

Re: MakeMKV, HD Lossless, and Decoding / Playback

I'm curious about this as well. I ripped Transformers 2 using ver.11 and my samsung lcd would not even play the audio (codec not supported). I plugged it into my LG BD390 and it did play it in old fashioned DTS- on the disc it's DTS-HD MasterAudio. Without updates to the components I'm assuming ther...
