Okay thanks, that makes sense... and 1.02 factory, never updated.MartyMcNuts wrote: ↑Wed Apr 10, 2019 4:23 amYour drive does not have AACS 2 keys as it is not an official UHD drive. Not sure what is happening though. What firmware version is on your drive? Have you updated it at all?

Hunger Games 4k Seemingly killed my UHD Capability?
Not really sure what's going on, but after attempting to rip a fresh copy for The Hunger Games 4k, my drive has completely stopped reading UHD discs. Normal Blu-ray seems fine so I'm not sure whats going on. I'm using an LG WH16NS40 drive that has ripped countless UHD discs including the new Aquaman...

Re: Age of Ultron UHD failing repeatedly
Man I'm glad I didn't have this issue lol. I guess I got lucky, all three of mine ripped no issue. The only weird thing that happened for me was with Avengers 1. It was going good and then it dropped all the way down to 0.4x read speed and took nearly 2 hours to rip. Playback in PLEX showed 0 issues...

Re: Ripping 4k UHD rental disc
Must be internal connected. USB will not work sorry... This is absolutely incorrect. I think what he may be mixing things up with, is the external usb VARIANT of the drive that is already in an enclosure made by ASUS. This drive WILL NOT work as it is physically different than the internal drive. P...

Re: LG WH16NS40 for sale
Hey no worries, your business model worked for me when I bought my drive from you a month back. In fact, you helping me out was the reason I decided to try and give back once I found those drives. I'm not looking to make a profit either, but I figure the more people with drives around here, the more...

Re: LG WH16NS40 for sale
It was just a local shop that had a few left on the shelf with old firmware. Picked them up so somebody here could get some use out of em!

Re: LG WH16NS40 for sale
Hey there, I was at a local shop the other day and found this LG drive. I have tested it by ripping Spider-man: Homecoming on it with no issue. Firmware 1.02 SVC NS50. I already have enough drives for my needs but figured there may still be some of us on the forum that are still looking for a drive...

Ripping Dunkirk Fails
Hey there, First time posting around here, and fairly new in general... I've ripped around 29 UHD dics using an LG BH16NS40 with absolutely zero issues aside from occasionally having to clean what seemed to be a "new and pristine looking" disc (seemingly for no good reason) in order to get...
