Re: Asus BC-12D2HT
Yes I'm also looking for a clean 300 firmware to flash with. I'll host it if need be with my dropbox account for others I couldn't find one but I read it is safe to flash with the Asus BW-16d1HT. Its in the clean files zip linked to op. I did use that firmware and was able to read UHD discs. https:...

Re: WANTED: Results of UHD Rips with Dolby Vision
The Apple 4k TV cant read dual layer DV files as no other mediaplayer can except the Oppo. No one knows how to convert dual to single layer. So thats all there is. Nothing new over there, we are fucked I think the new Panasonic players will have this ability as well, however, they don't seem to sup...

Re: Wrinkle In Time issue
Has anyone been able to read this disc? It comes across as a data disc for me and MakeMKV can't read it. While it does read (and play) in my Panasonic UB900 I've seen reports of this disc not working in a few consumer players. Something's different about it. I think Makemkv doesn't have the decrypt...

Re: 100% Firmware Downgrade for ASUS BW-16D1HT and LG BH16NS
I did, but I ended up using the clean firmware files in the end. For clarification's sake, are you saying that you can skip creating the dump of the current firmware on the drive and just use the download link on the forum? Because I read that it is extremely risky to do that. Sorry no I didn't mea...

Re: 100% Firmware Downgrade for ASUS BW-16D1HT and LG BH16NS
Does anyone know for the Asus BC-12D2HT, which drives firmware can be cross-flashed to bring to read UHD dics, as mine is on 3.01 and not reading UHD dics. I have gone through the Windows method for generating a dump file for my Asus BW-16D1HT but when I open the eeprom data mover.exe and try to se...

Re: Asus BC-12D2HT
Reviving an old topic, but did anyone have a clean 3.0 firmware for this drive, so I could use Teddy's rom EEPROM data mover to downgrade the firmware on my drive to 3.0.
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Evaluation period has expired - won't open discs
Temporary fix is to set your system date back to before it expired, start MakeMKV, then reset your date. No need to screw around with the time. But yes, buying definitely removes the scramble every 60 days. I don't even keep track of when the expiration on the beta is anymore, because I know a lot ...
Re: Fury
I can confirm I made a successful backup using Linux version. Do ensure the disc hasn’t been sitting in the drive for a while. Thanks. I tried again from a different computer and was able to get the backup to save this time. Just curious. What is a encrypted backup good for? I guess as insurance if...
Re: Fury
Encrypted copies you should be able to. Make sure you have the latest version. Some people have already been successful in this. Just don’t open the disc. Just dump it straight from the app if possible. I am using the latest version (1.12.2 Win x64) and whether I go to File > Backup or just hit the...

Re: 100% Firmware Downgrade for ASUS BW-16D1HT and LG BH16NS
I've actually found an older laptop, which has the Sata mode for supporting IDE for the HDD assuming its a standard sata port I can try to hook it up with the drive, will try to boot it with a Win 7 usb drive and see if I can get the dump. :D This should theoretically work right, any reason there m...

Re: Attention. Ver 2.1 protection out
I made a encrypted full disc backup and tried playing through my 4k blu ray player. I can see the menu but the blu ray player is not able to play any video streams. I guess this is the expected behavior?

Re: 100% Firmware Downgrade for ASUS BW-16D1HT and LG BH16NS
Hi guys, Been reading here a lot, posting first time. I got a WH16NS40 (NS50)with fw 1.03 from newegg recently. I don't have a pc with a old enough motherboard that has Sata to IDE functionality. If I try to dump the firmware using AHCI mode, is there anyway to verify the firmware dump is valid i.e....
