So does this not work anymore? I have the latest Java on my Mac. MakeMKV never gives any indication for main feature.

They're a little late on posting it for August though. Unless it's not gonna be free anymore?T'hain Esh Kelch wrote:MakeMKV is free while in beta. There's a beta-key available in the News section you can use.

Re: Ripping Dolby Atmos into MKV
Does Make MKV pull across the Dolby Atmos soundtrack when a UHD disk is ripped. If so how would you recognise the Dolby atmosphere track in Handbrake for pulling into a MP4 file ? No. There's a big thread talking about it right below yours. The short version is Atmos is closed source and nobody kno...

We need a hero at Dolby to just leak the source code already.

Re: UHD - Spider-Man Homecoming - Correct playlist
Did anyone ever figure this out? In the same pickle. This happens with most movies I try. There are always multiple playlists. Just pick the one that's the largest size and has chapters. If there are multiple playlists at the same size with the same number of chapters, pick the first one on the lis...

Dear Friends Please check this file and send me feedback, specially who have 2016 dolby vision models. bit rate is not very high that why you can feel little quality issue. Difficult to upload big files in my country, internet is very slow. I want to know about playback issue, color issue, sound is...

Re: WANTED: Results of UHD Rips with Dolby Vision
I'm getting an Oppo 205 and was curious to how you play the DV complete backups on the 203. Do you stream from a shared drive on a PC? or do you direct connect to the 203 USB? +1 I wasn't planning on shelling out for an expensive Oppo, but if they can play DV rips from MakeMKV then that is somethin...

Plex Server running on a Mac mini in the closet. Playback on Apple TV 4K using Infuse app. Video and sound DirectPlay with no issues. Infuse decodes everything and sends to the receiver in lossless LPCM. Atmos and DTS-X are not yet supported, but all HD 7.1 format play fine. I don't do any compressi...

Re: would anyone have a spare drive?
Do you have a Fry's Electronics nearby?
Mine has many "OEM" drives just laying out without any box or anything. I could sift through them all to find one with the right manufacture date. Most even have the firmware written on the sticker. This was last week at the Plano, TX location.

Re: I only want subtitles for "foreign audio" sections...
No, there isn't a solution that is universally applicable, because there are many ways to screw up the mastering of a DVD or BD without violating the standards. How is this possible, though? Why can't MakeMKV just do whatever the disc does to play the correct subtitle track? If I put the disc in a ...

...and I don't want to watch the movie first to figure out if I got the selection right. Is there still not a solution to this after all these years? I know that Handbrake has a "foreign audio scan," but I'm not compressing my rips anymore. I want to rip a new disc in MakeMKV and just watc...
