Re: Avengers: Infinity War key unknown
Have you tested play back on any other PC software player to try and rule out a potential specific software problem with the one you are currently using? E.g JRiver, MPC-BE + madVR, etc? Have you tried playback straight from the full folder structure backup? Same behavior? Or have you only tried pla...

The same as everyone else. Read the guide:

With the LG BU40N becoming more popular/recommended recently overall due to its reliability if willing to go external + enclosure under certain circumstances due to its slim profile.

Re: Need help remote flash
A very good point by SamuriHL. The LG drive pictured may be “flash-able”, but NOT the ASUS. The OP should provide the complete drive information for both to the person assisting with the flash regardless for proper assistance/advise.

Re: UHD Drive clarification for ripping 4K UHD discs
No, it will not. Drive manufacturers/distributors have patched the loophole that allows for UHD BD ripping on compatible drives they ship long ago. Hence, why the topic of flashing/re-flashing is still so actively discussed within the walls of this forum. If you are unsure you are capable of flashin...

Re: How to flash my BW-16D1HT?
You gotta provide the forum more information other than “it doesn’t work” regarding the problem(s) you encounter, so that someone can more properly advise on next steps. No mind readers here. What is the drive information as presented by MakeMKV? What firmware are you trying to flash it to? Was the ...

Re: NEW OPTION: 'UHD Friendly' Firmware Downgrade / Cross-Flash Using Official (Modified) ASUS Flasher for ASUS & LG Dri
I'm assuming I did the flash correctly (above). If so, I have these questions, if anyone would be kind enough to answer. It appears to be correct, however, only YOU can confirm for sure. So, can you rip/backup/decrypt a UHD BD disc successfully on your end? It's the only way to know for sure. If I ...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Guide Updated 2019
Hi hoping for a little guidance. Got myself a BU40N and followed the steps in the opening post etc, however get Updating Failure #5 when trying to flash the mk firmware. Managed to get it to BW-16D1HT 3.30mk, but now the drive tray doesn't open and discs won't read. Any thoughts? You bricked your d...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Guide Updated 2019
ok, I got my new drive in (B50NB40) and got it flashed to BP60NB10 1.00 HBD successfully, thanks too all for that. In the drive info of makemkv it says Unrestricted read speed: Possible, not yet enabled. Is that anything to worry about? I know it's going to be limited to USB speeds, but anything th...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Guide Updated 2019
Yes, I did. I've read quite a bit as per my post, but all I've found still isn't clear as to if HBD BP60NB10 1.00 firmware will enable both libredrive and ripping UHD's. I want to think that is that it should be, but wanted to see if I could find out for sure. From my original thinking, I believe I...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Guide Updated 2019
Hello and thank you to all that help out here. I'm new here and this looks like a great place to learn about these drives and such. I have an LG BP50NB40 on the way. I'm trying to wrap my head around the flashing procedure though. I know I have to use the Marty's modified Asus flasher and that ther...

Re: Info on flashing LG BU40N
You should post what Makemkv reports about your firmware since there are several versions of MK firmware for this type of drive. We'll see then. Ah. Will do once it arrives. Thanks! Sorry to hijack but I thought this might less annoying than starting a new thread. Drive Information OS device name: ...
