Interlaced VC-1
I was able to rip what I believe is an interlaced vc-1 blu-ray with MakeMKV, but now I can't play the mkv with VLC or Plex (the audio plays but the video does not) and I can't encode it with Handbrake. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to handle these kinds of blu-rays? I am on a Mac but c...

Problem with Blu-ray Disc
I am having problems with a particular blu-ray disc that I have not encountered before. I get the following error after it tries to make the mkv out of the largest track on the disc: "Copy Complete. 0 titles saved, 1 failed." Here is the output window: MakeMKV v1.4.10 beta darwin(x86-relea...

Re: DVD->mkv, file playback on Mac
Plex is also very good for 1080p playback on Mac.

Demuxing PGS Subtitles
I can't seem to demux any of the PGS subtitle streams from the mkv's that MakeMKV creates. I have tried tsMuxerGUI, eac3to, and mkvextract (which I am not sure has PGS subtitle support anyway, but it didn't hurt to try). tsMuxerGUI simply says... Some tracks not recognized. These tracks will be igno...

Re: Full screen instead of letter box
Do you use Plex for playback? If so I would give it a try, it tends to handle 1080p much better than other video players on the Mac.
Edit: Just read a previous post of yours with your system specs. I don't have any other ideas as far as stuttering problems go.

Re: Full screen instead of letter box
I think its just a matter of the aspect ratio on the original blu-ray.
I actually quite like having the movie fill up the entire television screen.
The stuttering is likely a cause of your machine not keeping up with the video, not a problem with the video itself.

Re: transcoded mkv file has audio that "judders"
I have used x264 to encode as recent as a few days ago in Handbrake and have not had those audio problems. I have had other problems with Handbrake as far as audio goes however. I have used tsMuxer and demuxed the audio from the original file that MakeMKV creates, then I encode the video in Handbrak...

Snow Leopard?
Anyone run MakeMKV in Snow Leopard? I want to make sure all works well before upgrading. I can't go without my MakeMKV.
