Re: Correct way to convert 4k HDR rips?
Handbrake does in fact support 10 bit HDR.

Re: UHD drives
I have a ASUS BW-16D1HT drive that has worked for me for over a year and now discs do not show up in windows. My assumption is that something went wrong with the optical laser. I've tried all sorts of things to get it to work with no luck. Has any ever replaced the laser diode in one of these drives...

Re: 4K UHD results and help request
An update that I've resolved my issues and hopefully this info could be useful for others in the future. I used a few network resource tools and determined that even with my network at 1GB, a few of the titles were pushing up against that limit. Using the full file of The Last Witch Hunter the bit r...

Re: 'Scsi error - MEDIUM ERROR:L-EC UNCORRECTABLE ERROR'?
That looks like a decryption error. What movie is this? Is it listed in the hashed keys file? Even if it is, it could need a different key. It looks like the drive can't read the disc. I have the same disc drive and have received some errors related to being able to read the disc. One disc had a sma...

4K UHD results and help request
So I'm now up to five 4K UHD discs and I've really had mixed results and am somewhat discouraged. I'd love to know what's going on. I work in the IT field and usually can identify the issue but so far there's no smoking gun. Here's my complete system specs and results. Bluray Drive: Asus BW-16D1HT f...

Re: UHD support
I don't think so. It was the only disc I put in. I did a reboot and it worked the second time around although there's a couple stutters early in the file. It was the Last Witch Hunter. It only does it a couple of times and then the rest of the movie is fine. The stutters repeat consistently in the s...

Re: UHD support
Looking for some help here. Is the error below a problem with the disc? Or an AACS problem? The disc looks absolutely immaculate but I've had this error a few times on different discs. Some discs work perfectly and others I get this error. MakeMKV v1.12.0 win(x64-release) started Error 'Scsi error -...
Re: UHD Help
The drive is the problem. The external drive will not work. You need the Asus BW-16D1HT. I've successfully ripped several UHD discs with that drive. There was an erroneous post that any of the BW-16D models would work but that is not the case.
Re: MKV HDR?
I was surprised that I had no trouble playing HDR content using UMS.
I have an LG OLEDB7A and just used makemkv to rip my first UHD HDR disc Deadpool.
Upon playing the file the HDR logo popped up on the screen.
It looks fantastic.
